    Temu For Dive Accessories

The problem isn't if something is "made in China" or not. Many items made in China have great quality, but it is up to the company that is selling the equipment to implement the proper Q&A. Companies like Temu are going low cost, so they copy a design, figure out how to make it at the...

Question What does your dive locker look like?

My gear is currently in boxes after moving. Have to set up my new dive locker area in the garage, but I cannot currently get to that part of the garage due to the other boxes piled in the garage. SMH.

    Operators requiring air integrated computers

Most Caribbean operators barely require a pulse, let alone any particular equipment. I don't remember the last time I was asked if I had a computer. Most vacation divers I see don't have a computer and some cannot even read their SPG and communicate how much gas they have. I love the warm...

    Question Aluminum or Steel Backplate

Warm water diving and you already don't need much weight, I would recommend aluminum. As you said, you can always add a few pounds for trim. Most jacket style BCs are inherently floaty, so you might only need a couple pounds, or might be able to get away with none. Enjoy the diving!

Can you cut and hem SharkSkin gear?

While it isn't SharkSkin, I have a friend that had some Lava Core altered. She used a tailor to do the alterations. The materials should behave similarly.

Question Should you overfill lp tanks without a + stamp?

Indian Valley Scuba in Harleysville, PA does a great job with hydro testing. They should be able to take care of it. Should be within your range. Hit the Harleysville Hotel for wings.... just sayin.

    Closed ScubaPro MK3 (?) 109 and 108

Clearing out the dive locker and discovered these. Thought I had already sold these, but apparently not. It is what I believe is a ScubaPro MK3 first stage, and 108 and a 109 second stage and a 108 in parts. I do not know the status of any of these regulators and they must be serviced...

    Sold! ScubaPro DIN Conversion

I am clearing out my dive locker and I am pretty sure this is a ScubaPro DIN conversion. I no longer have any Scuba Pro regs, so not sure why I still have it. It needs new o-rings and a good cleaning, but everything looks good otherwise. $20 and I will cover shipping in the US. Thanks.

MK5 Retainers - Free to good home

I am clearing out my dive locker before I move. I found two stainless MK5 retainers. At least that is what I think they are. I believe they were purchased from someone on Scubaboard. If anyone wants them, let me know and I can put them in the mail.

Sold! Santi E.motion Drysuit - custom (XXL Short-ish)

On the tag it shows a chest circumference of 117 cm / 46 inches. I wore a 42 waist pant, but had a belly overhang, so the waist measurement was bigger than that. Unfortunately I don't have that number.

Sold! Santi E.motion Drysuit - custom (XXL Short-ish)

I am ready and willing to take a reasonable offer. Would love to see this suit go to a good dive locker. As long as you cover shipping and get me some cash, it can be yours.

Should I get DM cert (for fun), or something else?

I hit a similar point with my diving and decided against the DM cert. As others have said, it will refine the basic skills you already have, but won't teach you much new. I didn't want the additional responsibility and potentially liability, whether real or assumes, that went along with any...

Sold! Santi E.motion Drysuit - custom (XXL Short-ish)

I have a Santi E.motion suit for sale. This is a custom cut suit, but close to an XXL Short. Think short and "fluffy". I was 5'10" and about 250lbs when the suit was made. Boot size is 2XL, I wear a size 10 US. Suit made in 2012. Was used in less than a dozen dives in fresh water...

New booties for feet with high instep. What to buy?

My other 5mm boots are Mares They are stretchy enough that putting them on isn't too bad. They don't have much of a sole and are comfortable for my feet.

New booties for feet with high instep. What to buy?

Seasoft Stealth. I have a similar issue and the Seasoft boots, both the 3 mm and the 6mm Stealth work well for me. It is a hard soled boot, but very comfortable.
