op, you got yourself a great deal there. i got the same camera and housing but nowhere near as good a deal as yours. that will be an awesome starting kit as you learn the nuances of uw photography. just like topside, skill matters the most (including dive skills like bouyancy, helicopter turns...
i have the epm-1 and its corresponding oly underwater housing. i plan on getting the oly 12mm/f2for some wide angle shooting. my question is, will the port be blocking its fov in the corners? im not too worried about distortion or what have that may come with a flat port, i just want to make...
hello. will the oly 60mm 2.8 fit in the standard pt-ep06 housing for the epm1? if yes, how are the results. if not what other mft lenses would you recommend?
experimenting with cheaper low light lens solutions for u/w video, i was thinking if someone has ever tried using a cctv lens or one of those slr magic knockoffs (manual focus)?
assuming the lens fits in your housing (which most should since they are tiny), would it be possible to leave the...
im not new to uw video, ive used the panasonic zs3 and the wide-to-zoom capability really does make it a great u/w camera for video. i am more a little more partial towards wide angles u/w.
the reason i asked about the 25/1.8 is, its a great topside lens and i hardly use my kit since ive...
can anyone aside from furnani confirm whether the oly 45mm can work with the standard pt-ep06 dome? has anyone used it underwater? for photos and videos? how does it compare to the stock 14-42?
Is there a list of lenses that will work with the standard Olympus housing for the epm1? I heard, for example, the 60mm macro lens from Olympus needs no special dome /port to work with the housing. Are there are others?
Thanks guys . I wonder if the epm1 housing shares the same accessories line as the epl3 housing. That would really go a long way in terms of accessories availability and support. For example do they also share the same dome ports?
i know the epm1 underwater package has been discontinued and it sold for roughly 500 usd (camera+housing) but i still see some online vendors selling them for 600-700usd. would you guys still consider this a good deal and investment?
ive been looking around and it seems that this is the best...
I tried my rig for three dives today and four pounds was indeed enough, in fact I still have to add some air during the safety stop. I was thinking of moving to two pounds but one pound weights are hard to come by where I'm from; and I might want to stay a little negatively buoyant for currents...
Yup I'm still thinking a bungeed smb can get loose from a giant stride entry and maybe also heavy currents. I'll consider looking into mesh bags for this and the spool. Thanks.

Thanks I'm getting some good ideas from that thread but opted for something similar to what Devon diver posted. I didn't attach the spool though as I have this persistent fear that it may become undone during currents and whatnot. I'll keep it in my spare weight pocket

I recently changed my bcd to an oms iq pack. I used to stow my preassembled smb and reel in my bcd pocket.
I can still stow my reel in my left waist weight pocket which I never use.
I'm using a 6 foot orca sausage and I'd want to attach it to a d ring in the lower left of the bcd. I've seen...
