    Just a quick question

There should be NO odor or taste from your tank. If you detect something, tell the instructor/dive master immediately. The only thing you will find is it is dry. Bring a bottle of water and perhaps some lip balm :) Have a ball!

    Insurance Question....

I get funny looks from my non-diver friends (yes there are those out there that don't dive!) about buying diving insurance for me and my two kids. I have, the last two years, used DAN, which is nice since they send good and informative articles to my email, but my question is this: 1. Are...

    Full face mask

Am sure the Darth Vader was the best of the compliments. It looks like something out of a bad x-rated movie. Sheesh. With that said, however, scuba is far from a fashion sport, and I would love to try one out. My mouth is typically really dry when I dive and it would be very very cool to...

Want to feel inadequate on SCUBA gear? Watch this ...

I have been to many movies in my lifetime. I realize they are not all "true" (sad but true! lol) But that doesn't mean I can't sit back and enjoy the ride. It was beautifully choreographed (or how ever you spell that!)

Not sure about trusting my buddy...

Jim, I never travel without a pair of heels. So if wearing my 'norm' gets me half off a class....count me in! FnFalMan: I am 43 and BF is 45. Am glad not to be in my 20's. What would I do with all that firm skin and ability to recover quickly from a hangover?!?! Lee: Yes you are...

Not sure about trusting my buddy...

Thanks to all of you for taking the time out to assure me that my concerns are not merely because I am newer to the sport. I am going to show him this thread, and if he still wants to talk about diving, then this will give him a launching pad to start anew from. Jim, You sound like the kind...

Not sure about trusting my buddy...

Doubler, I am...and always will be...a 100%, heel wearing woman...hence the nick Redstilettos :) But yes, my BF is a man. And we are both still young....if early-to-mid 40's is young. LOL In response to the rest of the posts: I have repeated told my BF about my concerns. The DM's we have...

Not sure about trusting my buddy...

Let me start out by saying I am a really new diver (second season, and only about 18 dives or so), so I am not in any way trying to make it sound like I know it all. I certainly do not. Here is my dilemma or concern. I was certified last year with my BF, but I do not feel he is the safest...

Will the sizes be the same?

You gotta be kidding me....I stumped y'all?? lol

Will the sizes be the same?

I have a 7mm Henderson Hyperstretch in a size 14 which is absolutely perfect. (all 7mm's are a bummer to put on, but hey...living in Wisconsin, we need something on!). My question is for a 3mm. I have a cheaper 3mm suit, which really doesn't fit that well. If I want to buy a Henderson 3mm...

Holy weight-loss, Rubenstein! Congrats on not only losing it but also getting back into a great sport. One that will help you keep that all off, too! Let us know how it goes :) Christine

    Lake Michigan diving

Hi again guys! .....and you thought you got rid of me so easily *wink* LOL. Hope the Urge to Submerge xmas party was a blast. Our household has been busy between the kids and a new job for me, so we've been laying a little low. Am looking forward to hearing about it! Mstrdvr: Randy...

Wetsuit for the chubby but avg ht woman

Wow you guys! A girl goes away for a few days and look what all happens here! I am going to check out a few of those suggestions this weekend hopefully. Wish I could even consider the drysuit, but will have to make due with a good wetsuit. Now if only I were thinner in the waist and...

Wetsuit for the chubby but avg ht woman

Well it looks like because of my size and girth of my legs/hips I will need a stretchy suit. Which is fine....but why wouldn't you suggest one for Wisconsin diving? Since I am near Milwaukee, Wisconsin....Wisconsin diving is almost a must?

Wetsuit for the chubby but avg ht woman

Hi all, I just got certified and took a few 'real' dives in Cozumel, but I have a couple of questions for all of you. I am 5'6'' and go about 210 (although to be honest no one ever guesses that. I think I must be packed in here pretty tightly, lol). I purchased a 3mm wetsuit from a...

    Hello from Wisconsin!

I am a new diver living near Milwaukee, WI that just found the forum and am hoping to connect with like-minded people from all over. Open water certified in March and have dives in Blue Springs and Alexandria lake in Florida as well as two dives in Cozumel. Looking forward to advanced...
