I never take my camera on the first day of a dive trip. Also in Maui, an octopus swam past and parked itself nearby. I am generally not a good critter spotter, and I found this, so was doubly bummed.

We had no trouble getting onto the dive boats with Buddy dive-- we generally signed up the day before, but I don't think the boats were ever completely full when I was there with my husband. I like the convenience of boat diving but I can definitely see both points of view.

It was warm enough with the 3 mm + lavacore. I was very happy with the combo.

Most recent purchase is a custom Santi and 60 mm macro lens for micro 4/3 Pen camera.

We finally decided that we would dive with living underwater.

Dove with Gabe at Kaimana on Oahu and Big island divers on big island. Both were excellent.

I dove with Dive St. Kitts a few years ago and had a good experience with them. Divemasters were attentive. I have also dove with the dive op at the OTI (I forget the name of the shop)- they were not bad either but the divemasters sometimes swam quite quickly and we lost him at one point. I...

Going may 25- June 1 for first trip to Cozumel. Staying at park royal. Still debating which of 3 highly recommended operators. Hoping that airfares co e down.

What kind of mount do you have on the SOLA light?

I dove with the Oceanic Hera which I quite liked, but am selling as I switched to a BP/W, which I like the fit of even better. PM me if interested.
