Not very simple when some guy tells us there is no shore diving from anywhere in the area. Don't know if the guy was legit or not, but since the Custom dock is federal property and we're respectfull people, we didn't argue and we left. I basically have given up shore diving in that area...

Unfortunately, a weed cleaning on the ropes doesn't last more than 24 hours :) But I'm sure the others that went by that day did appreciate

It seems like everybody else can go and dive this site without any hassle. When we go, there is always a local trying to intimidate us into not diving. An no, we don't make any trouble, we don't block the street, and we pay the parking fee if one is there to collect it.

The dude at The Boathouse must have been away then, I'm told he requested that the township council push a bylaw forbidding shore diving from the area. I think Jeff at Rockport Dive Center can take you there on his boat... no idea what is fee is though.

I was there last Sunday and this afternoon. Good viz, at least for this site (25 ft), 52 F water, water level has gone down 5 feet since they shut down the damns at Mose-Saunders and Iroquois. Current still ripping though, especially on top of the structure (25 feet). Have fun
