    Rabbit Scuba Pattaya

Well it looks like Rabbit Scuba has ceased operations. Went past their shop a few days ago and the place was empty. Didn't last long. Anyone know what happened?

Koh Tao Dive shop recommendation for OW (PADI)

If you are looking for small groups On Tao. select your dive shop with care, you can get some seriously overcrowded boats around that Island. Loads of choices, but from the few I have tried, Big Blue at Sairee were my favourite.

    Thailand Diving in January-February 2015 ?

I suppose It all depends on what you are looking for from your diving, but my opinion of Mermaids is very different, having been with them a good few times now, whilst generally an OK day out and never any serious complaints, I have also never been especially impressed with anything they do...

    Scuba equipment in BKK/Pattaya

In Pattaya, along the Beach Road. Pattaya Dive Centre have a decent shop, and prices of kit seem reasonable when I have been in there.

    Dive South East Asia

Noticed myself the shop has completely disappeared, just a concrete base left, looks like it's ready for something new to be built. I don't suppose they will be greatly missed, they were never known for providing good customer service.

    Thailand in June?

Surely you are not seriously suggesting someone travels all that way to dive in Pattaya? If that is the best option Thailand has in June (which I doubt very much) I would forget Thailand all together and simply look for another destination. Pattaya diving whilst maybe worth a look for a couple...

    MV Scuba Adventure/ScubaCat

I did this live aboard a couple of years ago. Yes there may be better boats available, But value for money I couldn't fault it.

    Oil in Pattaya

Would some oil actually make a noticeable difference?

    Diving near Sattahip

Personally I wouldn't bother. Whilst the diving at Samae San is an improvement to Pattaya. It still leaves a lot to be desired as a dive destination. Same old s**t day frrom the sh***y farrang pattaya rip off shops just at an inflated price becouse of their additional 'transport expenses.

    Rabbit Scuba Pattaya

It was definitely Mermaids boat, been on it before. Cant help but recognise the chain gang of 'instructors' loading and unloading the kit. Quite amusing in it's own way.

    Pattaya to Phuket, or....?

Pattaya diving in my experience is really a waste of time and money. Go to Phuket would be your best bet.

First week of April - diving buddy wanted!

What dates are you going to be in Thailand? I am hopefully going to be there in around 1 month's time. Maybe staying in Phuket, will not want to dive every day, but will be looking to do a few day trips. What would be the best dive sites to visit around there this time of year?

    Diving in Pattaya an experience

Diving in Pattaya an experience It certainly can be, and not one I am planning to repeat. The type of thing in this thread is commonplace. I am only surprised things in Pattaya are allowed to continue year after year.

    Boat sinkings

I have never dona a live aboard trip, but have done quite a few day boats around Thailand but predominantly in Pattaya. Safety considerations are quite often non existent, mostly there are not even life jackets on boats, or if there are I have not been made aware of where they were.

Thailand Diving Close to Bangkok - Pattaya - Mermaids? Real Divers? Please recommend?

I simply wouldn't bother, I have tried several shops over the last few years, none are really up to scratch, and the diving quality around the area is generally poor. I most definitely will not be diving around there again.

    Rabbit Scuba Pattaya

You are right, a friend of mine has confirmed the owner of Rabbit Scuba is ex Dive South East Asia. ---------- Post added March 9th, 2014 at 03:20 AM ---------- Certainly anything but luxury, but luxury boats are not what I am looking for. Simply a good days diving conducted safely is all I...

    Rabbit Scuba Pattaya

When I was there in early October, I believe this shop had only been operating for a few weeks. I do think I had previously seen the guy who claimed to be the owner, not sure where, but dare say it would have been on one of my earlier Pattaya dives.

    Rabbit Scuba Pattaya

After so many bad experiences, I gave up on Pattaya diving several years ago. Whilst walking into Central Shopping Mall, I was handed a leaflet for Rabbit Scuba, I spoke to them and was convincingly promised a great day out on a luxury boat, Thought I might try this new outfit, so parted with my...

Aquanauts CDC Pattaya, Course Director Roger Smith EXPELLED from PADI

Which DC are you refering to here? I had some really bad experiences myself with one shop in Pattaya. I went to Dive South East Asia, after my first not so good Pattaya dive with Aquanauts, and unfortunately jumped straight from the frying pan into the fire.

Koh Chang - how's the diving?

I have only dived Thailand in Pattaya and Koh Chang and must say that generally the diving in koh Chang is by far the best of the two. However as the last post says select your DC with care as I was most disappointed with the last location I was taken, the trip was all about swimmers and snorklers.
