Well, we're back home now and I'm just here to report that the 5mm and 5mm hooded vest was NOT enough!!! If you get cold easily, you'll need more than that! I'll put it into perspective... I wear a full 3mm and beanie in Cozumel in June and July. If you feel the same, you'll need more neoprene.

I'll be in Maui in a week and the Big Island in 2 weeks diving on both islands, and I get cold easily... I wear a full 3mm with beanie everyday in Cozumel in July (~82*), and have been known to add my hooded vest for night dives (80*) For later in the trip dives I'm cold with the beanie but...

It's a lot nicer of a place now, but the food has remained the same. Honestly I kinda like the new place better because the views and ocean breezes are nice. This is my fav restaurant in Coz. I can't wait to go there tomorrow night!!!

From what I was told, people can now go and take a class to get "permission" to kill Lionfish inside the marine park. I do not know what all the class entails, I was just informed that it exists. This is MUCH better than letting the masses run around with spears... that thought honestly...

mmmmm you guys need to stop mentioning Prima. We went 3 times in 10 days, and I would gladly go back there tonight if we were still in Coz! While it isn't lobster, I highly recommend the Pollo Cozumel from Prima. The Aged NY Steak was really good as well. MMMMMmmmmmm

I too am having leaking issues with the Orbit, but so far I have not found a mask that doesn't leak on my face. I was pretty bummed too about this mask because like you, I really liked the wide angle view, single glass, and the fit of it above water. It fits PERFECT, so it really must be that...

Wow! Same thing happened to me... sprained my ankle REALLY bad back the end of May. They told me I would have been better off breaking it. Couldn't walk for 3 weeks, did the whole crutches and air cast deal... but here I am.... In Cozumel! :D When did you sprain your ankle? You might be...

^^^They are right, it's a sharpnose puffer, not a juvenile trunk fish like I stated. A REALLY juvenile trunk fish looks like this in case you were wondering: I call them ping pong balls :)

Thanks for the info! I did find during some research that Nov would not be the best time to go. When do you think the earliest in the year would be then? We could always postpone our "honeymoon" until the next year if we needed to. I think Spain would be interesting and would like to...

Wow... nothing since Dec! Well I too am looking into a trip to Spain, but more along the lines of Nov-Dec of 2011. We would like to go for our honeymoon and since we are both divers, I would love to do some diving as well. Any input is appreciated!

I'm back already :( BUT! Those were the best dives ever! We saw at least 20 splendid toad fish, about 20 nurse sharks, a spotted eagle ray, octopus sex (yes, it was a little disturbing but very cool) a bunch of drum fish and spotted drum, and a slipper lobster which I had never seen before...

That's funny.. mine always comes while on a trip. It never fails. lol However, I have not noticed any difference in mine because of diving besides my lack of luck.

I would love to do another twilight/night combo. July was my first time doing that and not just a night dive and it was awesome! We saw at least 10 splendid toad fish with Pedro on that twilight dive! But we aren't diving with Christi until the 22nd :depressed: So hopefully at least another...

My other half and I will be there again from the 19th-27th. 2 days in Playa, then coming back to Coz and diving with Blue XT Sea!
