40 years of diving all over the world with "no logos" on my luggage. Never had one bothered yet. I don't go to a lot of 'tourist' dive spots. I have had my car broken into in Guam with a dive sticker on the back, tanks stolen. I absolutely will not put a Trump sticker on my car even though I...
I knew you smart guys would figure this out for me. There is still air in the tires, probably around 20-25 psi. I just need to top them off and I didn't think an 8 gallon tank with 150 psi would do the trick.
I took both of my dive bags and removed any identifying labels from them. One had a label I couldn't remove without leaving a hole; so, I painted over it.
I am trying to figure out whether to take my scuba tank Aluminum 80 (3,000 psi) to top off 12 RV tires or an air compressor with an 8 gallon tank near 150 psi.
Thoughts, advice?
My first computer is a US Divers Monitor II. I bought it used in 1994. I still have it. I use it for pool or nasty water. I don't thing they sell it anymore. The battery is not user replaceable. It is glued in with some sort of silicone material. It still works. It's full Deco, no nitrox. I have...
I do the same thing on airplanes. Gear doors have killed a few people. I personally go and put a tag on the hydraulic switches if I know I am going to be in the wheel wells. Standard protocol is before we (the pilots) turn on the hydraulics (when you are not starting), ground clearance must be...
I never drag any gear. It is always tucked away. I tuck mine under my BC strap while I am diving. It also has a zag on it. It looks brand new after 50 dives.
Rhone man, I have seen flight attendants so old and frail there is no way they could get the cabin door open in case of an emergency, much less put a bag in the overhead. Thank goodness most airlines have gone to electric doors. Somewhere along the line the flight attendants have forgotten it's...
I always travel with a mask. It's not enough. BTW, there are certain courtesy's that I expect out of any civil human being on an airplane.
Here are a few of the rudest:
1. Don't pick your nose in front of me.
2. Don't pass gas near me.
3. Don't be loud and obnoxious
4. If you have a cold...
I am the opposite of that. I hate checking a bag. I don't trust the airline to get my bag and me to the same airport on the same day.I also don't trust the baggage handlers not to go through my luggage or throw it half way across the tarmac. I check when I have to. Carry on when I can.
I bought the Nitecore D4 on AliExpress for $22.50 with free shipping, no tax. It took 3 weeks to get to me; but, it was well worth it. I am delighted with the charger.
the Xtar VP 4 is around $35 bucks on Amazon right now. I may pick one up.
So you are the (insert any expletive you care to) that wakes everyone up that is near you with a blinding flash of light. As long as you get your look, screw everyone else. It's a common courtesy to extend to your fellow passengers.
