    Info Beginners Guide To BP/W

My search did not yield a satisfactory answer, forgive me for asking something that might have been answered. I have always used scubapro classic bcd since I started in 1994. With that setup I need about 8 pounds with a 3mm shorty which it’s what I use 90% of the time. I went with the dgx +...

    Info Beginners Guide To BP/W

This is how I ended up mounting the aqualung squeeze knife. I ordered an empty cutting tool sleeve from dgx. I cut a little hole on the upper section of the sleeve and used the knife mounting screw and nut. Very secure

New BP/W suggestions please. 18lb wing in tropical waters - any concerns?

I dive in similar conditions as most of my diving is on Southern Florida USA. I also use about 4kg with 3mm shorty or .5 mm full suit + shorty. I just ordered my first bp/w setup. I considered SS bp, but went with aluminum as I would like to preserve having the ability to ditch weights at the...

    Info Beginners Guide To BP/W

I placed my order for the Dgx package with the aluminum backplate and weight pockets. Since they are pretty close by to my house, I’ll be picking up at their location. Question, I would like to attach my small aqualung squeeze knife to this setup. Any recommendations?

    Info Beginners Guide To BP/W

I was about to pull the trigger on the DGX package and noticed a significant jump in price of more than 10%, now at $399. Is this package still worth it or should other options be considered? I'm not looking at the cheapest, but would like to pick a solid option with good value. Looking to spend...

Deep 6 Eddy vs Scubapro Go Sport

I love my SP Go sports. My jet fins were good but I no longer have the muscles for it. One pleasant surprise on the GOs, I gained speed and maneuverability swimming at the surface. It was pretty shocking to me how easy I move

How to Fix BC Seam due to Annoying Wetsuit Velcro Contact?

What is the best way to fix a BC seam becoming a bit fuzzy due to a Wetsuit Velcro getting sticked to that area? My BC is 20 years old and it looks like new (Scubapro Classic), and I would like to get this 'fixed'. Nothing wrong with performance, but it is annoying. Thought about a bit of...

    Problems with HOG regs

On #1, I think it is unacceptable that the OP was charged any shipping charge on a defective unit. Did you allow a long period of time between purchase and contacting the vendor with the issue? I'm considering these regulators, so interested in the outcome and response

I think I'm about done with Scubapro Regs...Looking for Options

I'm going to have to leave the spring pad adjustment as it is now, as I don't have the tool to remove the top cap (mine is the version with multiple orifices). However, it looks like the adjustment is spot on as it feels very comfortable to breath from the reg. ---------- Post added June 10th...

I think I'm about done with Scubapro Regs...Looking for Options

I think I found the problem with my regulator. Big Thanks to axxel57 for sending me the manual. Probably spent 3-4 hours reading/re-reading. Looks like the nyloc screw was not fully assembled, making the lever lose!!! What a poor job done by the last tech!

I think I'm about done with Scubapro Regs...Looking for Options

Nemrod, Not sure where you are coming from and your comments are rude. I bought Scubapro, because I was looking for equipment that would last 20+ years. I have tried 3 different local LDS for service, two of them recommended here with supposedly good techs...I'm tired of not getting reliable...

I think I'm about done with Scubapro Regs...Looking for Options

To make a long story short, my gear is a 20 year old D400/M15, Classic BC with Air2. My equipment looks like new. I dive about ~5-6 times a year in tropical waters (mostly South Florida and keys, and the Caribbean). I have also taken breaks, where I don't dive for a year or so due to lack of...
