Thanks for your tips! I'll try them out on the next dive trip. I did use the diffuser for the flash and I had the white balance set to auto - maybe I should change that to what Scubatooth suggested.

I went to a UW Video seminar at the Seascape diveshow in Houston in June and the guy used the colorbalancing on FCP. I was amazed with the improvement in the color of the video. I wished Premiere had a similar feature on the PC!!

Have you looked at the Ocean Images Inc (link) housings? They have electronic controls and are less than $1000.
Also, the Top Dawg housing should be less than $1000 (seach google for it...)
