    Layover time for EWR

Being Bonaire, alternative options are very limited. But it looks like overnighting in Newark with a rewards night and catching the Bonaire flight the next morning is an option.

    Layover time for EWR

I have the option of a cheaper flight with United to Bonaire with a connection through EWR. This is a new airport for me so wondering if 1 hour 15 is enough time for the layover? Thank you.😊

    Belize Aggressor IV mooring breaks

Our down pillows were missing. Logical since the crew had no way to know the pillows on the bed were not the standard issue. I listed them as missing and got them in the mail a short time later.

Just passangers that throw trash out the window and send fumes out the exhaust.

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

Seems the 20+ dive trucks parked at Salt Pier each day we have drove by seems to imply more than one vote. I think your earlier post might just win for the most quotes taken out of context.

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

Day 5 now in the log book and I have to say, if you can get past the hard corals, this has been some of the best diving in our 19 trips. Eagle rays, turtles, squid, spanish lobster, day and night sightings of octopus, ostracods and fish, fish, fish! Even dolphins. And of course, beautiful soft...

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

At least one thing the Caribbean has are ostracods! Last night’s show was magical, at least until the divers with lights showed up! Tonight should be even better.

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

If conditions are still good don’t just go south but to some of the most southern sites. Atlantis, Vista Blue, Sweet Dreams, Red Beryl. And if you are comfortable with it, Red Slave (head to left if current allows). But be warned alot of other divers are doing this too. I have never seen so many...

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

Did you try any of the southern sites today? The other posters are spot on about the shallows on the southern dives. These were always my favorite dives and now even more so. While still affected, there was some fairly good areas of hard corals between 20 to 35 feet as well. The pencil coral...

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

Just finished my second day. So far the reefs are still as fishy but there is no denying the damage done by disease and warming seas. For the sites we have dove thus far, the shallows look pretty good as you would expect since they are less about the hard coral and more gordonians, fans and...

Trip Report Bonaire March 2024–Dead reefs

In Bonaire now. Will post more later since only 3 dives so far. Of sea life on our dives … squid, octopus, large spanish lobster, free swimming beautiful green moray, small golden tail, juvenile smooth trunk and drums, turtle, grouper, the largest jolthead porgy I have ever seen, a flash mob of...

    Blocked Ear

If there is no pain and you are able to equalize it may be as simple as wax. But it does need checked. Not sure what the medical options are for the Philippines but find someone that can take a look and hopefully take care of the cause.

    Question Seeking itinerary advice.

Update. I am booked for the Mermaid LOB and now finalizing NAD-Lembeh. Two questions for those of you with experience. As mentioned, looks like Manado to Sorong is a 7 am flight so I assume I need to plan to spend an extra day iand overnight in Manado to catch that flight. Second question...

    Trim feedback lower back pain

My advice. Stop worrying about trim position. Relax. See what feels most natural and comfortable underwater. Try diving tilted up a bit. Switch positions during the dive. Change up kicks. Frog kick awhile then stretch out the legs and flutter kick. Occasionally hold position and bring knees to...

    Considering a Freedom Plate

Exactly! I also had one of Bryan’s 18# wings on it.

    Considering a Freedom Plate

Our last LOB ran aground, started taking on water so we were evacuated off the boat. While other divers were anxious about their laptops, cell phones, etc, Eric and I stressed about our Freedom Plates. No joke.

    Question Seeking itinerary advice.

Very true. In fact it is too early to even check my actual dates but at least I can get an idea of my options.

Is it safe for me to fly? I really need to get home.

I do not think that is correct. AGE from lung over expansion is one form but can also occur with a right to left shunt. PFO can increase this risk.
