New techie to the area, interested in diving the local hotspots

Hello, I am just moving here from Sicily, Italy and was looking to link up with a dive club to help streamline the information flow for local opportunities in diving. Do this club still meet? If so, where can I link up with you guys? Thanks! Jeff :D

    Malta

I have dived a few shops in and around Malta. The best is Divewise/Techwise DiveWise Malta Gozo and Comino - PADI, IANTD, DSAT, TDI and Rebreather Diving IMO. They will sort out whatever you need and won't nickel and dime you. What you see on their website is the rate you will be charged...

Malta, Ustica, or Portofino Marine Park?

Go to Ustica if you want to see fish. Malta is GREAT for wrecks and can't say much about Portofino other than I have heard its 'GOOD.' I haven't been to Ustica, but I am leaving to there tomorrow. I HAVE seen film of dives there and have NUMEROUS dives all over Malta. I can tell you that...

    Warm water diving - finally!

Living in Sicily for a few years now and haven't made it over to Ustica. That being said, I am setting out for the weekend to go check it out. Have many friends that have been over and they seem to quite enjoy it. I am hoping that since it is a National Reserve there will actually be some...

    Mares Hybrid BCD

I am looking at the same kit for myself and my wife. I currently dive a transplate with IWS and i love it. Not going back to a belt unless its for a period of instruction w/ students. The big problem that I am reading is that people are losing their weight pockets? I can't believe that...

    Sharm El-Sheikh F.A.Q.

Oh, I also neglected to mention that the price for 10 dives is for TWO divers (20 total). So 225GBP apiece. Either way, if anyone knows a better place Im all ears.

    Sharm El-Sheikh F.A.Q.

450 GBP for 10 dives? That does not sound very cheap, I pay less than 370 GBP for 7 nights at the hotel plus 10 dives when Im going to egypt next sunday.. Second glance it IS high comparably-speaking. The diving in Bali was about the same as DIVE URGE. Who will you be diving with?

Wow this board is great, sorry im a rookie i guess. Considering Dahab before i got on. Sounds like I was spot on. We are looking at DIVE URGE has anyone heard anything? The seaview chalets are 40 GBP/nt per couple, sounds reasonable. Myself and the ol lady are going for about 10 dives...
