Perhaps teach her how to dive using/wearing a bail-out system, and let her carry her own pony cylinder. In an OOA situation, she's going to want that pony as close to her as possible... You'd be giving her a head start for that DIR-F class I'd think. Just a thought.

Lake Jocassee is a nice dive... if you happen to bring a boat, check out the waterfall at one of the far end coves of the lake. (Get a map, and ask a local)... It's one of the taller falls in the area, I hear.. Plus, it makes a decent surface interval.

The Equipment Specialist is a decent course... you'll learn a lot of useful information, if you decide to take it. You'll definately walk away knowing more than you did before you took the course..(given, you have a decent instructor..ofcourse).

I wouldn't mind setting a future depth/time world record of sorts. If that counts as a "dream dive"...

I'm currently "in the process of" taking a job on St. John USVI at Cruz Bay. Can anyone give me some real-world information about the island??...ie: cost of living, places to live, things to be wary of..etc..etc. Let me know something.

Nothing beats diving in a fresh water spring in Florida..(when it comes to cottonmouth). That water you can actually take a sip of.. 72 degrees and quite refreshing after a long cave/cavern exploration.

Going over and over the material needed to pass the IE..might actually be a good thing... You have your whole life to develop your own teaching style..if you happen to be young..(which I am).. and plenty of people to critique you.. Practice & Patience Makes Pefect..
