    Up .... or .... down ??????????

My first tank (72) came with a J-valve. First thing my instructor told me was to pull the valve rod down and leave it in that position. Many years later I would see divers with those tanks that had the valve wired in the down position.

    Up .... or .... down ??????????

J-valves You could wire the valve in the down position. I know some who still have those valves who have done it. They haven't said anything about it causing any problems.

    The Cost of Diving

I don't have to add it up. The wife (non-diver) reminds me on a regular basis.

Versa Pro interface. Do you have it?

The pin config for Win 98 thru NT-XP is a 9 pin serial. With Win 95-98 it's a 25 pin serial. But. I believe that PurduEE has pointed out the hitch in the giddy-up. I don't see anyway to manufacture the module to plug into the dive 'puter. This thing has been sitting in my desk for close to...

Help Needed! - UWATEC Smart Recall

I'm in Louisville. I dive the Oceanic computers, for now.

No wonder I couldn't get in touch with Pat yesterday. Everyone is on the phone ordering wings.

Help Needed! - UWATEC Smart Recall

I spoke to my LDS yesterday afternoon about the recall and the availability of replacement units. According to one of the owners, SP does not have inventory of the replacement units yet and it MAY be thirty days before they have sufficent inventory to begin replacing units. That could mean 120...

    Oxycheq Wings

You might be right. I'm just now begining to consider building a doubles set and I was reading the doubles thread on here to see what others were using. I went back to doublecheck Pat's site and the minimum doubles wing offered at present is a 48#. I think that should be sufficent for a pair...

    Summber blowout

Joe's isn't the only site that they use. I believe that they also go to Laruel Lake and some others. Perhaps it was the most centralized point for the students that they were teaching at the time. The "funk" is there all of the time. It happens because of the rainwater runoff from the rock...

    Summber blowout

That's usually the problem at Joe's. I always try to slide in there early Saturday AM before all of the check out dives commence. If we get rain late Thursday or Friday, the runoff will have it cloudy again this weekend.

    Gilboa - Labor Day Weekend

And we probably will again :-) I wonder if the "Bow Babe" will consider coming down for this? I'll be diving with Jim Waytt on July 31st. I will suggest that we hoist a cold one fer ya après dive.

    Oxycheq Wings

If I get the wing then I'll have to order a dog bone to put the single on (well, tanks too for the doubles.) I'm gonna be in deep kimchi again on the home front.

    Gilboa - Labor Day Weekend

Moonshine, sonic booms, beer, traumatized dogs, emblamed strawberries and grapes, forest fires, beer, deep fried cheeto's and tree leaves, beer, stainless steel devices, hijacked gear, screaming wimmen, beer, cold water, mudpuppies, pork on the halfshell, the nudist colony, sounds like an ambush...

Versa Pro interface. Do you have it?

The package that you buy fron Oceanic isn't much better than the freebie. I have yet to get the software to download to the hard drive and Oceanic's tech support seems to be in a quagmire as to the problem.

NAhhh. Their ok. I'm just a gear pig. The little woman says I'm in mid-life crisis right now.

Did you shave your mustache to dive??

I kept the mustache and shaved the head. Much better streamlining and it doubles as a rescue mirror.

    Summber blowout

I believe that Joe is only open Monday - Thursday to Instructors. I had heard that he might be opening Friday afternoon to the public but that's only hearsay at this point.

    Oxycheq Wings

Those wings look mighty tempting. I just might have to call Pat and see if he can ship a 40# for doubles to put on the plate. If you bring some premium Molson with ya on the next trip to Gilboa I might even let ya take it fer a swim and ya can do yer own report.
