you are truely a Guru, to me at least, thanks for the info.. but i got some more questions for you... i have been trying to aquir some conshelfs becuase i mad the choice awhile back to go with this type of gear for differant reasons but im glad that i decided to go with this set...
what about a Scuba Pro G250, would this mix/match be a good one?? i know it is not a metal 2nd stage but would this be good or would a balanced 109 be a better choice and how hard would it be to balance a 109 yourself giving that i have never worked on a reg befor... but pretty darn good with...

im a little confussed wen people say that the conshelf XIV is a great regulator.. dont get me wrong i have no doubt that it is.. but i'm wondering is the part that is great the 1st stage or is everbody talking about the 2nd stage??? or is it both that are great... i like the the first...
is there any type of coarse or class you can take to learn how to service your own regs??? and by "Service" would that be of the first or second stage or both that needs the servicing??? as for parts how can you go about getting parts and i read on many threads that parts are inexpensive...
yea that puts me at about 340 but also getting a scuba pro 2nd stage but that cant be worth more than 20-30 either and thats if everything is in perfect working order... i tried to talk him down to 350.00 he wanted 500.00 and we agreed at 400.00..!

I actually live like 5 minutes from the " 4th Marine Div. Dallas Tx " just on the north east side other side of the lake..! i could probably drive to the unit in five minutes... but i dont know if its still active i think they may have closed dow...

the XIV is heaver and harder on the suck.. (Jar, mouth, teath) but is made of brass and metal so would be more rugged and longer lasting???
