Shearwater Cloud (iOS) bug -- minor [solved in 2.11 (with a very obscurely named toggle)]

Yeah, I'm just getting through that thread, which I hadn't found before I originally posted this one. I got in the habit long ago of logging what I called "max N" and "end N" from my old Oceanic DataTrans, which just had a 12 segment bar chart. After a while with the Perdix (and a long while...

Shearwater Cloud (iOS) bug -- minor [solved in 2.11 (with a very obscurely named toggle)]

(Deeper sigh.) I'm getting further through @rsingler 's super-relevant thread and there's an option in the iOS graph settings called "Clamp Duration". Turned off, it displays more of the datapoints -- although the questions in that thread about GF99 bouncing around after surfacing are...

Shearwater Cloud (iOS) bug -- minor [solved in 2.11 (with a very obscurely named toggle)]

(Shearwater Cloud for iOS 2.11.3) I've been working on using SurfGF and GF99 more consciously, which includes noting in my log what I call "EndGF" -- the GF99 when I reach the surface. (As a possible proxy for decompression stress.*) The (minor) bug I'm seeing in the iOS version of Shearwater...

Question Dive planning exercise, please check my work

Straying a bit, but FWIW the dive mooring buoys I’m most familiar with are the Halas design used by the Malama Kai Foundation, and they are hung to be at 10ft depth. See Day Use Moorings — Malama Kai Foundation for drawings.

    Filament Choice

Also consider purposely allowing water ingestion. I just printed a camera mini-tray with zero outer surface but at 60% infill density, using a gyroid pattern. Strength is good, and water flows in, and right back out.

    Nitrox math problems?

This is probably the most important reminder for me -- I had that at one point, and it got away. That makes the labeling of the minutes calculation make sense, and the percent/minute now clicks. Well, sure, but chunks vs square profile is really "just" computer vs. tables. That said, the...

    Nitrox math problems?

I've been staring at the RAID Nitrox course material for a while now, and I'm still stuck. Tell me if I've got it wrong, but: On p.22 of the 4-Jan-18 edition, it calculates a 40 minute ABT dive. In the analysis, it shows that the ppO2 0.9 exposure limit is 360 minutes, and then subtracts 90...

    Question Another DAN/Trip/Medical Insurance Question

(This is a pile-on, not an answer; please do try to address OP's questions.) I've been doing parallel research just in the last few days, though the one plan I don't think I've looked at is the DAN-associated plans. Things I've noticed along the way, which may be old hat to OP: -many travel...

A repository of 3D print STL sources

If you don't have elephant's foot issues (or can do some touch-up), print it in two halves. Getting kinda small, but not impossible. ETA: Like this: Print two of these, place the two halves together, put the ring on and they'll be held together by the ring and the outer tool during the operation.
