I think the ruins are closed on Sundays. At least they were a couple years ago when we tried on a Sunday, along with alot of things. We did have a great day at the east side beach and were able to get drinks and food.

For those of you familar with Villa Aldora is it walking distance to town? We've stayed at Blue Angel and don't consider it walking distance even tho we walked several times. We are considering a room with no kitchen so would be eating out all meals.
