excellent thread on D1 Hybrid http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/exposure-suits/373085-waterproof-d1-hybrid-drysuit.html
It seems that the most common complaint is restricted movement with that 3d mesh which would be the only reason for me to go with the suit. Thank you TechDeep for your advice...
fantastic is great!!!! I like fantastic!!!! And according to the size chart XL Short is my size... But what exactly does it mean? How was the buoyancy control at different depths? 4mm is a lot of neoprene even for thermocompressed? Does it compress much? How about neoprene seals?
Thank you...
Thank you very much for your insightful comments. Now I have a better understanding of where "crushed" stands among other types of compressed neoprene.
I was considering CF200 because my primary criteria for dry suit are high durability, constant (or near constant) volume and increased thermal...
According to DUI "...Crushed neoprene material is patented and available only from DUI..." (see the article at Drysuits made from compressed vs. crushed neoprene). I suppose everything must be call compressed. So here is the question, is DUI "crushed" neoprene really that superior to compressed...
Of course you have to take a heavy responsibility for your buddy if you buddy is your son. I also have heavy responsibility before my daughters to come back home alive. This is why I plan my dives and I dive my plans. This is why I continuously train, maintain my gear, and do a lot of other...
@GrumpyOldGuy
I totally agree with your point and have nothing to add to it, accept may by that your comment does not apply to my post. The point I was making is that I'd rather give my pony to a distressed diver then sharing my air. It has nothing to do with planning or training. I don't...
I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread so quite possibly someone has already given you the answer I am about to give. Anyways... I am a strong believer in truly redundant gas supply and I don't believe in "reliable buddies". You must consider possibility that not only you can...
In NYC and around, where I do most of my diving, 30 feet is considered an exceptionally good visibility. 15 feet is pretty good. less then 10 is normal. 0 is not unheard of :)... Personally I enjoy diving in low viz. Feels cozy:)
My apologies. I Jumped into this discussion way too late and didn't see your comments. You in fact answered all my questions. I was a bit surprised about buoyancy shift of a 5 mm wetsuit (my primary exposure protection). I expected it to be more dramatic. I'll give it a shot next month on my...
I am surprised that non of no-BCD-diving lovers addressed this very important question. I've been thinking about no-BC diving for quite sometime. However the question about is precisely what's stopping me. I can see how no-BCD diving could work worm waters, without compressible exposure...
