    CLou, Diving is expensive! It sounds like you need some more communication with the shop. Ask them for all the information that they can give you. Then come back here to verify. The knowledge that can be found here is amazing. The price that you pay for the lessons is a drop in the bucket...

    Before you get gadgets, try swimming back to the ladder without your fins in a good surge or swell. You may find it easier to prepare for exit with one hand gripping the ladder and one foot fending off while removing a fin with the other hand. Putting knees on a ladder seems like my teeth would...

    New wet suit ?????

    Just recently purchased the Tilos Epic 7-6-5. I tried on several others before I found this one that fit well. Price was good also. I wear a hooded vest with it and dived at Morro Bay in October with no problem. 57 degrees. Good luck.OND

    Ditto for checking out the Zeagle Express Tech thread. There is much info to go through, but well worth it. I've only traveled with mine twice, but I am very pleased with the product. I won't be looking for any replacement or wishing that I had chosen something else. OND

    For divers with beards/mustaches

    I shave a 1/4" "sealing surface" under my nose to allow a seal. It seems to work. very imperceptible and since I dive infrequently, It grows right back.OND
