    Need help picking regs

I agree. The co-founders of Atomic, Dean Garraffa, and Doug Toth, both came from sp and added to that company's success. When Dick Bonin, co-founder of sp was forced out by the suits, the company is not the same as it was in the 70's when it seemed like every other day they were inventing...

    ursuit drysuits

I am just wondering if any scubaboard members have had a chance to dive the Ursuit series of dry suits. The suits are made in Finland, and I believe they have 5 models. The first exposure to them for me was at Beneath The Sea in New Jersey. I was very impressed with their stretchable Kevlar...

    Am i bent?

I pulled out my trusty nasds safe scuba diving tables. My tables state that the ndl for 80 feet is 40 minutes. With that in mind, I flipped the table over, found 80 feet for 50 minutes and read a stop should have been made at 10 feet for ten minutes. Your rgd in now a k. I scrolled over to a...

jacket style or back inflating opinions

Ha HA HA!!!!!!!!!!!!! How have you been? It's my understanding that Legions probably has more experience with the Cheytac m-200 than he does with diving gear. Hey, I'm just kidding here.

jacket style or back inflating opinions

I myself personally like the jacket/vest style, and presently use the Scubapro classic unlimited. It's easy off and easy on for me. I also like the fact that it has the ability to roll an unconscious diver on his back while on the surface. I originally had the scubapro stabilizing jacket, next...

I have been there a few times, more when the NEDEG is there, the people you introduced me to. In my opinion, I think there are more water sports going on, you know the different activity's they offer. When they have that three day weekend event, to me, That seems pretty popular. Somebody else...

    Scubapro Pilot

Well, I believe any reg that has a diaphragm problem could potentially give you a no air situation, as I believe it is the activation of the diaphragm that allows a reg to operate. The problem is with the pilot, you are not only going to get no air on inhalation, but just to keep things...

    Scubapro Pilot

Now, You can convert one to a sp pilot/air one, which has a high top retainer, and plastic internal parts. But I believe it is the all metal internal parts that contribute to the pilots performance. As well as it's ahead of it's time design. It basically looks the same except for the high cap.

    Scubapro Pilot

HA HA HA! What are you gonna do? The sp pilot is a very complicated reg. The sp pilot is the result of a mit students thesis. I was told that when sp picked it up ( I suspect Healthways may have originally produced it ) the engineer in charge had to go with the regulator. Of course, this is...

    Need help with drysuit

seaworm, For what it's worth, I presently own ( and dive ) two Viking pros. I have never gotten moist, damp, or wet. They have seen extreme service, under severe conditions and never have failed or skipped a beat. Trelleborg, the parent company, has been in the drysuit business a very long time...
