I'm afraid you might find an all purpose fin doesn't really exist. A free diving fin won't work well for scuba diving. You'll tire out quite quickly using those. And a scuba fin is not going to do much for your free diving. You may have to purchase 2 separate sets of fins.
While the Pinnacle wet suits are very warm suits, especially those with the merino-lining, you will likely still be cold in the waters in your area. Go with a 3mm for the tropics and a 7mm or dry suit for local diving.
Check out the Pinnacle Merino-lined 7mm. The merino lining adds a lot of warmth and you'll need that in CA. It also helps the suit slide on and off much easier than most standard suits.
The OMS Vega K2 is a very bright light, much brighter than the Rat Jr, comparable to the Rat, but sells for less. I'm not familiar with the Halcyon. Hope this helps.
The Akona Pro-kit knife is on the large side. It's more knife than most divers need. Most knives can easily be mounted to the holes already in a BCD or onto the LP hose. Many come with mounting hardware already. And they are much less. Check out our selection: Dive Knives
