I used an At-Pac from the mid-1970's to the early 1980's. 1st pic - me and my buddies in Monterey, CA with At-Pacs. 2nd pic - me and my brother Laguna Beach, CA. 3rd pic - Avalon, Catalina Island, CA. Loved that rig!
I used those weights back in the 1960's. They belonged to my dad and I think he bought them in the late 1950's. I think I saw them in the 1956 Voit Catalog.

This may be a bit rambling, and for that I apologize in advance. If I say something you don't like, or agree with, or think is just plain wrong, please know that I really don't care. 😎
And, yes, the following is in lead-up to the OP- post.
There is no law (at least in the USofA)...
I just grab my twin sets by the bands and one valve post. Occasionally I'll forget and lift them by the manifold, but never had an issue with doing that.
I met two lady's in Palau in 1981. One was 91, the other 93. Both did all three dives off our panga that day. After Palau they were traveling to Australia to dive. They had recently been diving the wrecks of Scapa Flow in Scotland. I'd like to think they are still out there traveling and diving...
First, I don't recall drift diving being much of a thing in the pre-BC days. Even then, if you planned your dive correctly, at the end of your dive your steel 71.2 tank was neutrally bouyant at 10 feet in salt water, slightly positive on the surface at the end of the dive. Easy to float. 😎
Take your tanks to Open Water Habitat in Santa Ana. Tell Gary I sent you. They do all hydros and visuals in-house. They do all my vintage tanks. A 38 cu ft born 1944 just passed. 👀
RIP Paul.
I was on a liveaboard dive trip with Paul in the Galapagos for 14 days in 1994. Awesome diver and photographer. I remember we both used an Oceanic Hydro-35 camera housing! M
That would be our good buddy BT (Antique Diver) who did that. Actually went diving with the contraption too! 👀

Eb (@SurfLung) has all valid points. I am still hopeful of a future show at some point. We have always maintained the single point of contact approach as that is the only way to present a unifying front and position. Too many cooks in the kitchen is never a good thing. 😎 No secret there. It is...
As the duly appointed Chairman of Sea Hunt Forever (appointed by Bryan and others), and having organized and run the last two Sea Hunt Forever shows at Silver Springs, FL, I am kinda, sorta qualified to respond to the OP. 😎
I have been in contact with the Florida State Parks Department (who...
Not SB. I attended and subsequently chaired the Sea Hunt Forever event in Silver Springs, Florida for several years. Luis and Herman attended as diving Cast Members (along with many others) and we all dove together acting out for the tourists in the glass-bottom boats the original scripts from...
