I have not tried this specific mount on a line shaft but I have tried a similar mount. Your light shouldn't interfere with the line or shaft. I know it might seem like it would but I have not had a problem. With hogs and gags closed, I might be doing a little more line shafting.
How much...
For the light holder, what sizes do you need for the bolt, nut and spring? Is it pretty self-explanatory to change?
What flashlights are you using with the holder?
I am going to try this mount. Last weekend, I screwed up with the muzzle mounted light and did some stupid stuff. Still ended...
Great Idea and should be sturdy. I bought a 3d printed light mount off of ebay years ago. It works well but the only problem is it only worked with one type of light and its screwed into that gun.
These are not bad, easily attaches to a spare shaft or kill spike, still working on a kill spike...
Just a suggestion, add chain to your anchor and "tie" into the wreck. Wrap it 3 or 4 times around something solid and then loop it around the anchor line and clip it back to itself.
For the record, I don't think it's a good idea but thought of the suggestion to make certain the anchor line...
Over 20 years diving and 10 years or so spearfishing. Just my 2 cents.
1. Get as many good dives in as possible watching your time and air. The idea about a stick is awesome. You will be task loading.
2. You need a good fish ID course. Knowing what your looking at and for is important. Realize...
I think mine came with a rubber ring and plastic clip.
If you don't have that then some finger spool line, maybe secured with a zip tie or c-clamp(that will rust) tied tightly. At the other end a brass snap.
Those springs are super heavy and you don't need to pull back very hard at all...
They guy got sent to the chamber. I have no idea the dive profile at the lake but may interesting that they sent him to a chamber.
If not for the chamber then it would seem like bad air.
It will be interesting to see if this gets investigated and what they find.
I am not interested in the boot but the scubapro pressure gauge. Do you know if the pressure gauge will fit in a newer 3 gauge scubapro console?
Maybe measure diameter, across the face and depth.
I like to use these as a backup computers with the 3 console gauge. Yeah, I know the consoles are not cool anymore but its just what I am used to and they are a perfect knife mount.
How many dives on this computer? How many battery changes?
PPS? So is my post in he wrong place?
I have had some good luck with oceanic computers.
Not so much the scubapro pucks. They could have been more useful as paper weights, hockey pucks or door stoppers.
Hello,
I am looking for a puck computer as a back up and would like to know yalls thoughts on the Genesis reliability. Do you think that I can get 300+ dives or 3 years or more out of a brand new one?
I understand that puck computers do not have the most reliability but just curious where...
I am reviving this old message because I think that I have the same bag. Please see the attached pictures. I assume this is really only for sending fish up because there is no way to control assent or decent.
Any idea which cartridge this takes? The canister tube seems to be 3.5inches.
I am not sure Trinidad would offer much in the way of diving due to popularity and boat ride time. Tobago is a short plane ride and my choice over Trinidad. Check out this thread about Tobago.
Tobago. The Less Known Dive Vacation Island
I am trying to be careful here because I am not sure what other people would have issue with and I like Tobago. However, you have to look at it more as an adventure into another culture than a luxury trip.
I would not recommend Tobago to people that are expecting immaculate buildings, rooms...
