The Blue Manta and White Manta have different hull designs. The White Manta is more streamlined and therefore uses less fuel, hence the cheaper price of trips. The down side is it rolls more in heavy seas compared to the Blue Manta which is much more stable.
I recently did an Alor to Ambon on the Blue Manta in September. If you're keen on seeing large schools of hammerheads, the best time would be September to October.
September is even better for hammerheads as the thermocline is shallow. Just make sure you're on a Big steel boat and not a wooden one. Waves can be nasty due to the winds. Been on 3 Banda sea trips so far for hammers.
Haha! Never knew diving has become so complicated. All I have done over the years when diving on LOB is make sure I have above 200 bar at the start of the dive, do the dive, send up a SMB during safety stop and wait for boat to pick me up.
I just checked my other computer which is an Aladin 2G, it does not show average depth as well. To be honest, until this thread, I never really considered about average depth all these years. As far as I know, the dive comps I used showed max depth and bottom time.
