    Sola 1200 won't turn on

The light worked fine when I used it last, about a month ago. I pulled it out today to make sure it was fully chared for a trip this week and it won't turn on. It was stored fully charged. When I plugged it in, the light on the charger is green. Any ideas, thoughts?

SRP GoPro BlurFix & Tray Review

I just got my SRP tray this week, quality of the tray looks second to none. It would be nice if it came with the tripod mount, but in their defense, on their website they make you well aware it does not come with one.

    Warranty repair

I sent my wisdom 2 in for repair 2 weeks ago. I called on it today for a status update, and now I'm being told there is a 6 week turn around time. Is this really true?

A Fin Review 2.0: Split Fins VS all others

Nice review, I use split fins and love them. I don't use them for the fact that I feel there better than all others, but for the fact I have problems with my ankles. When I use paddle type fins, I find myself thinking about how my ankles hurt and not the dive itself. I use Apollo Bio fins, and...

Which steel tanks are good and bad?

I just went back and read through this thread and some clarification is due on my part. I don't know why it took me so long to realize what you were asking. My tank valve is a 200bar/yoke convertible valve, I use a 300 bar DIN on my first stage. You absolutly do not need a 300 bar tank valve...

Which steel tanks are good and bad?

For the fact that 300 bar DIN works in a 200 bar DIN valve, but having a 200 bar DIN on your first stage will not work in a tank valve that has a 300 bar DIN. So if you have a 300 bar DIN, you are always covered. Also it's not very easy to find a 200 bar DIN for my first stage, 300 DIN is the...

Which steel tanks are good and bad?

Thank you for the link, that explains it all. I dive HP tanks, it's my life on the line, if I have a choice (and I do) between Yoke and DIN, it's gone to be DIN on a HP tank. I feel alot more comfortable knowing I have a IMO secure and safe connection. You may dive with whatever you choose. I...

Which steel tanks are good and bad?

IMO it's safer when using HP tanks. I will trust the captured oring in a DIN with HP far more then a yoke any day. I like that a DIN has a smaller profile then a Yoke. And I feel it's a much more secure connection. Yes traveling while having a DIN on your first stage can be a hassle, but DIN to...

Which steel tanks are good and bad?

+1 for HP Worthington, but I would recommend switching to 300 bar DIN. I don't know where you live in MI, I live near detroit, but a good HP fill is not that hard to obtain around here or local dive sites.

    Help me choose a backup

Thanks again, and I will be sure to save this for future light purchases. I understand it alot better now. I am a automotive technician, which in today's day and age is 80% electrical, but figuring out a short to ground or a module taking down a BUS is a little different then finding the power...

    Help me choose a backup

Is runtime that big of a factor in the grand scheme? I'm only asking because I see that there is a big drop off in output with 1/2 worn batteries. So wouldn't I replace them before there completely depleted, to keep the light performing at its best? To make sure I'm understanding correctly, the...

    Help me choose a backup

Is it really worth the price difference? There is a 60 dollar difference from the Penetrator and the 2w light monkey and over 100 for the 3W light monkey. I understand you get what you pay for but thats a pretty big jump.

    Help me choose a backup

I don't really have a preference on a type of switch. I am guessing the most popular type would be twist type, only due to a less of chance of it accidently getting turned on, but I would only be making an assumption I did see that they took different size batteries, but I really didn't put any...
