Age has only given me the opportunity to include my son in my "risky" behavior. (My daughter would never participate in any of these.)
I took him along on our frst sky dive. I must admit watching him fly out into the wild blue yonder before me was a little freaky because that was my "baby"...
Gotcha...and, I was just kidding around when I made reference to the frat freshmen. :blinking:
And, if drinking is a team sport that divers enjoy after they're out of the water, then I'll fit right in. I've been practicing a really long time and am very very good at it. In fact, I can hold...
Are you freakin' kidding me? I just posted on the seasickness thread yesterday that I was considering not considering taking up diving as a sport due to all the hurling seasick divers. Now, y'all are trading vomiting in your reg stories. :shocked2:
I had no idea that diving involved so many...
Oh my, y'all are scaring me with all this seasick talk. :( I'm in the planning stages of getting certified and it would probably ruin my dive if someone was puking off the boat or in the water near me. I've been on lots and lots of boats and ships and have luckily never experienced any kind of...
I've skimmed the posts but haven't seen Australia's great barrier reef mentioned. I always thought that was a premier diving spot. Has it lost its "glam?"
Uhhhhh....where were the Jersey Giants in the 90's when Da Boys won THREE superbowls? Oh my....they were watching TV (except for ONE year....lucky bastards :) ).
AquaHound - I just wanted to add my 2 cents here to let you know how much I've enjoyed following your camera-owner search...since the very beginning. I found this thread through the posting you made on CruiseCritic as that is a forum I'm very active on. I don't know what prompted me to...
Wow! What a great inspiration!!
You all have been so kind and encouraging...thank you sooo much. I promise to check back in after I've picked my dive school and begun my journey to being properly trained.
I can assure you I am NOT a troll. And, clearly, the DM was not a "dive professional," he was someone with gear and a boat out to make a buck....and he succeeded. :crafty:
The dive was in the late 80s in Puerto Vallarta and the "dive company" was some guy advertising "scuba lessons" at the hotel pool. I was so psyched to be doing something I'd always dreamed of doing. I signed up and took the "lesson" then off we went in what looked like a modified row boat...
How do you know you're experiencng the bends? What do you feel?
On my first dive, I had no formal lessons...only got comfortable breathing though the regulator in a pool in Mexico. After that, we donned our gear and headed out for a 60 ft. dive. I was mesmerized and loved it all but had no...
Wicked bike! Where do you live in AZ? I spent 8 long HOT years in Phoenix. I thought Texas was hot until I moved there....couldn't wait to get back to the nice cool summers in Dallas. ;)
I swear I'm never gonna dive again until I get certified. Only takes one perferated eardrum to teach you that lersson.
Harley? I only bitch ride on those. :cool2:
