I was in Bonaire for the first time in 8/2006. I thought the island was perfect as is, and was a little sad to see so many foundations and frameworks being laid out. Hopefully, they won't add a resort(s) big enough to demand a traffic light. The one at Pasa Bon Pizza is enough for the island.

I dove Silent World when I was down there last year. I think I dove with Captain Bob. Good Op. I would say you can't go wrong with them. I think Christ In The Abyss is doable for newbies. But just look don't touch...fire coral.

I cruised there 3 years in a row. I found that's the most bang for the buck on the island. Plus you don't have to worry about diving then flying. I used a bus and a cab to get to the dive shops. Tip: The bus let me on with my gear in a mesh bag and not two other divers who had dive luggage.
