    Washington Lakes

I have had a lot of experience diving in Washington lakes, especially in King County. I have recovered bodies and evidence in most of the lakes and rivers in King County. I think I had a body count of 200+ body recoveries in the lakes, rivers and Puget Sound as a PS diver, for the King County...

    Wrist Compass Question

I have a Suunto Clip on compass clipped on my Suunto Mosquito Dive Computer that I use a lot for a quick reference. It has some type of shine in the dark stuff on it that shows up pretty good if it gets some light once in awhile. My other Panel type AI computer, has the normal large compass...

    PSD Team expectancy

I must admit that after some 200 or so body recoveries I was fairly tired of that activity. Small kids and divers bodies seemed to bother me more than others. Of course, small kids seem to drown more often here, in the lakes, especially in the beginning months of the summer. Visibility in the...

    Help with watches/ computers

I just wish I could find a metal SS locking band like the one that came with my Rolex GMT Master. I'd like to have it on my Citizen 20th Anniversary Aqualand, as I dislike the rubber band.

    Best Dive Watch Ever...

As I said in an earlier post I have a Citizen 20th Anniversary Aqualand, recently purchased. I use a Suunto Mosquito while diving along with another panel type AI computer. I may well wear the Aqualand as well. I have a Rolex GMT Master that I got as a retirement gift from my wife. I do...

    Nitrox for the PS diver

I really don't see a pressing need for PS divers to use Nitrox. I love to use Nitrox normally in recreational diving, especially on extended boat diving trips. In my experience as a PS diver, we had very few 'rescue' dives, except for our work on the Unlimited Hydro races, when we did that. As...

Looking to buy the Citizen JV0010-08E??

I use mine for a time piece mostly, as I have two computers to include a Suunto Mosquito and a panel type air integrated computer. So I guess its a back-up too. Mine reads in reads in Fahrenheit and Feet, so I have never tried and/or looked to try and make changes, since that is what I normally...

Looking to buy the Citizen JV0010-08E??

I have one and like it. Keeps good time! I haven't done any dives with it yet. Perhaps this pdf file will help. Link: http://www.citizenwatch.com/Technical/English/Full/u10x_ebook.pdf

    weight integrated?...or not?

I like the WI Zeagle Ranger (back inflates) BCD that I have. I especially like it in the tropics, where I can usually have no belt. It also works good in cold water diving as well. I don't like to have all the weight I need, on a belt or harness.

Equipment Question for those more experienced divers/instructors...

I sort of agree with Bob Vincent (above); however, that said I'm kinda partial to the Atomic brand of regulators. I have had both the B-1 w/swivel and now the M-1. I think they are the best breathing regulators to be had. I also think their overall quality is excellent.

    mini-report Cozumel

Boy! I sure don't know what happened to some of these divers in Cozumel. I was recently there and had a GREAT time! My hotel the Costa Club was great, as was the diving service that we used. It was Dive Paradise. We had a pre-paid package that covered airfare, hotel, food and drinks (bar) and...

    Zeagle "Escape" BC?

I normally dive a Zeagle Ranger here in the PNW (Puget Sound) and like it very much. I just got back from a trip to Cozumel, MX and used it there and it performed well. I like warm water diving and plan to do more of it throughout the year. So, I'm looking at more compact BC's that will not take...

Do I need a wet suit in Cozumel

I just returned from Cozumel. The water temp. was running at 82 F. I dove with Dive Paradise on the Tango with Pepe as my DM. Our group dove with Shorties, skins and bathing suits. I used a 3MM full suit and was just fine. On occassion I flushed it with water to cool it. Nobody reported being...
