Want to buy 2 or more 4500 psi air cylinders (444 cf). I’m in north Texas - but travel frequently to Florida to teach. I could pick up anywhere along that route.
Best,
Bjorn
Just adding one more data point. I have 2 sets of DR XT fins (L for the pool and XL for the OW with drysuit). Both are splitting at the fin pocket in the manner described in this thread.... (both less than a year old)
Curiously - I have much older DR XT fins that are still fine. I wonder if...
Just to provide context, Steve Lindblom passed away in May this year. He had been ill and this probably explains the closure of Airspeed Press:

His books are great resources and his contributions to the sport are appreciated.
This case is still grinding on...

It's curious that the dive shop operation is represented by team of 4 attorneys... Seems like a large / expensive legal team for a rent...
I hope that the public does not loose access to the site. Will be interesting to follow this case:

My LDS is a Dealer for Global., but I'm sure you can find a closer dealer: Dive Shop Supplies - Products - Global Scuba Mfg. of Texas
Recommend checking eBay. Frequently these cleaners can be purchased used at a fraction of the cost.
I was confirming the same on their FAQ page... and called DAN for a clarification.
We use a shop account to register the student divers with DAN before CW (which also has a place to note the instructor). DAN advises that they would consider shop staff: Sally, Bob, Bjorn to all be part of the...
Assuming we are talking about the oring that seals between the din assembly and the first stage body - that is generally something that would get replaced during service.
I couldn't find a manual online for deep 6 - and that is not a manufacturer we service. However, Divegearexpress sells the...
@elgoog - when I opened this post - I had assumed you were referring to the DIN insert in a Pro Valve. But that is not the part you have pictured. Is this a part from your first stage - and if so - what manufacturer and model of first stage?
I label my personal tanks with duct tape indicating analysis / contents - there are no permanent wraps / labels. I label contents solely for my own benefit - not at all concerned about the scuba police, the DOT, OSHA, or the FBI. If I ever get cited or busted - I'll report back here straight...
Just bought a T of Technical Diver Grade Oxygen from Praxair - $57 including hazard charges, taxes and what nots. Five year lease on the cylinders - about $90.
I ultrasound Scubapro plastic pieces all the time, but Hollis does not recommend using ultrasonic cleaners on the plastic parts on of their regulators.
I've got three of those 212 second stages - and I've serviced many others at the dive shop. I would always unscrew them and rinse mine to keep them from seizing at the end of every dive. (Generally - in water - while doing a safety or deco stop.)
After a time - I noticed that one had become...
I almost always wear some sort of hood. (Cold water in the midwest.) And my mask strap is always under the hood. The chances of me completely loosing a mask due to a strap breaking or a kick to the face are pretty much next to nil. Likewise - something unexpectedly breaking the lens during a...
The Mk2's standard service kit is compatible with up to 40%. Scubapro markets a Nitrox compatible service kit with a different seat that the manufacture warrants for use up to 100%.
I looked through Trident's catalog and found no claims that their seats were O2 compatible or not. They only...
Scubapro does sell an oxygen compatible kit for the Mk25 - the one from last year and this year had a green seat. The standard Mk25 service kit is only compatible with up to 40%.
If you flooded it with salt water - I would recommend servicing it. Outside of the flood - the manufacturer...
We're on the same page. The VCI course covers both hazmat and inspection. A current VCI is authorized to teach the hazmat portion of the VCI course - roughly half the material. That is called a FSO course - and meets the OSHA requirement. VCI is a certification with PSI. FSO is recurring...
