    Where is this?

I was on Break.com and they had this picture of an awesome wreck and a free diver. Can anyone identify the wreck and where it is? Looks like it be an amazing wreck to dive.

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

My asthma in itself is not bad. I suffer no symptoms during a normal week, including exercise, rock climbing, daily activities. This occurance that landed me in the hospital is from a cold. Whenever I get a cold it always go to my chest. Now the only reason I went to the hospital was my...

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

So I just read the post by DAN and find I am by that calibration in the: Mild intermittent asthmaSigns & symptoms: Clinical features occur less than once a week and are associated with less than a 20 percent decrease in peak flow (the maximum rate of air flow during expiration). This type of...

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

Well when I first started scuba diving it was a for my college fitness. Basically just going through the padi workbook, study one week, dive in the pool the next. They did go through all the necessary steps to ensure everyone was fit to dive, which did include me getting written consent from my...

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

Well I was hoping I could get a heart rate monitor in the $20-$30 range as I have had those before, wasn't looking to break the bank, haha. I am aware of when to take a breather underwater, I just like to keep stats on all that is going on, if you look in my initial post I was honestly just...

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

Well I already have the Suunto Cobra 3, Love it! It tracks my tank pressure and turns that into my breathing rate and how much air I have left in minutes on that tank. Which is a great stress reliever underwater. I did have excercise induced asthma, I don't know if I still do but all the signs...

    Underwater heart rate monitor?

So I have been diving for around 3 years now. I am an AOW diver with Nitrox. However I am also an asthmatic. I have had no issue with asthma ever on or near a dive. I always make sure that if there is any potential thread to have a flair up before or during a dive I cancel the dive. Now my...

Best way to calculate dive tables from a dive computer?

Good point, I will be sure to fill in the depth and time, but leave the nitrogen levels and stuff empty. I know its a square profile and when I see my dive profile from the Cobra 3 its anything but square, I had hit 90' for about 1 min and the rest of the dive was at around 60'. So where in...

Best way to calculate dive tables from a dive computer?

I mostly just want to have some form of calculation put into that profile at the top of each page, haha. But I do understand the tables, and part of it too is to keep up with understanding the Nitrox tables. Sure the dive computer does it all but having a basic understanding of my time and depth...

Best way to calculate dive tables from a dive computer?

Now I just used my dive manager to find my NDL for the 2 dives. Then used my Padi eRDP to pull out some numbers. the eRDP gives me NDL based on the max depth within about 5 minutes of what the Cobra 3 gave me. However when I go to put in my ABT for the 2nd dive which was to 90' it alarms since...

Best way to calculate dive tables from a dive computer?

See I realize the dive computer is giving me more time since its adjusting all my times depending on depth, bottom time, etc. Doing a one size fits all profile calculation turns my 23 minute dive into what should of been a 12 min dive. I just want to have some numbers to log to match up to the...

Best way to calculate dive tables from a dive computer?

So I bought a Suunto Cobra 3 a few months ago, absolutely love this computer. Well I am updating my paper dive logs and am not sure what is the best way to approach this. On some of my dives (just the ocean dives) my depth is consistant for the most part of the entire dive as the ocean...

    Suunto Cobra 3, worth it?

Well I actually went out and bought this computer the day before my trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. Sure I dove with it already but that was my instructors and I only used it for basic function. Used it on 2 dives and my god there is so much awesome in the palm of my hand! :shocked2: I must say I...

    MK 5 turret retainer

So...People still looking to have these made? I found the print for it which doesn't look to entirely complicated to reproduce. I am in school for Manufacturing engineering and am currently learning CNC. Much of which I thinkg will aid in production of these parts. If anyone is still looking...

    Suunto Cobra 3, worth it?

So I've been diving for about 2 years now. Have a good hand full of dives under my belt and this past weekend took my Advanced Open Water cert with Enriched air. Now I've acquired a good deal of gear both new and used and finally have enough besides wet suits that I am satisfied. However the...

    Pony Bottle, worth it?

Why the hate? I understand where he is coming from. Scuba diving is about having a self sustained system of breathing. Each person is to carry and take care of the air supply needed to stay alive underwater. Is that not to say it isn't to ever be shared? No, but in theory its on your back its...

    Pony Bottle, worth it?

Wow this thread has gone a lot farther than I thought it would. Here is what I was basically asking.... Is it wise to take with me a spare supply of air on dives being that I often dive in new locations with random partners and never know what mess I'll be into? I'm an avid outdoorsman...

    Pony Bottle, worth it?

Sorry :depressed: I hate being the guy to bring up and old already discussed topic I do like using the scenario that you can get tangled down there. Because I know that is often a big danger to divers. I finally bought a knife but that isn't to say I wont get tangled somewhere that requires...

    Pony Bottle, worth it?

Well if the diver had run out of air, he would have to reach for the redundant system, and drop his weights. Even at depth he could orally inject air into his BCD enough to stabilize and allow for a safe ascent. Yeah I think having one would be a great ease of mind.

    Help with planing a Trip

So I'm a college student who is looking to get my feet wet in water clearer than Myrtle Beach, SC has. I'm getting my Advanced certification in the next 3 weeks and can't wait to see some new stuff. With that said me and the girlfriend recently broke up and with 2 jobs I have a good amount...
