First, Thank you for your replies. I am in no way condemning the shop. I only had a bad experience with one of the regulators they loaned me. When I told them it leaked on my dive they said they weren't sure why and they'd look into it. It was full of muck behind the front plate when they opened...
I have a Legend Glacia and I need to get some service on it. I'm still fairly new to Northern VA so I'm unsure who to entrust the work to. I wen't on one of "The Dive Shop" fun dives and the regulator they loaned me leaked on my second dive that day. Needless to say I'm weary of letting them...

I know it was and I thank all who responded. I read some posts assuming things about what I was thinking so I expanded on my original post.
Much Thanks All
I typically only buy an Item once. I realize that there is specialty equipment in diving and that I may have to buy equipment for different environments and backup. My chief concern about this computer is not cost. When I bought my first reg it was a Legend Glacia. Def not the cheapest reg out...
I have to agree that in a cave system where you may not know your dive profile and may only know a max depth tables would be a pain in the ass. Since you might spend most of your time going through a part that is much more shallow. I believe you should plan your dives / contingencies using...
For sure,
I'm in no way challenging baby on this one. Me being new I don't know what to expect when it comes to classes. I'm not a bad diver but I wont lie and say I never thought that I probably should get more exp in different invironments. I did end up cancleing the class a week ago and...

Thank you for your detailed account of your experience with the computer. These responses are exactly what I was looking for.
Well the instructor said I could sign up for the class this year asked since I did well in Advanced and Nitrox class. I realize what a challenge it must be. Is the instructor taking a risk? Why would he have no problem teaching me?
I'm looking to hear from anyone who has used one of these computers.
I've heard nothing but good things over at the cave divers forum but I want to know how this computer fairs in open water diving too.
I am not currently a cave diver or wreck diver but that's my direction. I mentioned...
I'm looking to get into cave diving / wreck diving. I'm not quite there yet and I still need to take a deco class.
I was looking at the Nomad XT because is modular (single tank/multi tank/sidemount) I feel like I could use it now for a single tank and then add / modify the rig as I move...
I'm also interested in hearing more about dive log software. I've checked out sharkpoint and diving log 5.0 so far is there one I'm missing? Is sharkpoint any good? Any recommended by professionals?
