Oh shucks that's scary, no wonder you cut things short. So glad to hear your sister is on the mend!
Noted on the resorts etc.
I was surprised to see quite a few resorts out there offering "Maldives" like villas over the water. But only half of them have proper websites...
I've never been a...
I hope everything is ok in the family.
@CWK wow, some really special nudi's. And the Melibe against the red sponge backdrop really made it pop.
So when diving Semporna would you suggest one uses the town based dive shops? Or which resort in the area would you reckon is the best?
I can not...
As much as I love Tulamben, it's a long drive for just one day! It's min 2 and half hrs from Sanur, there and then another 2 1/2 hrs back!!
I'd suggest Padang Bai if you want to get some macro in.
@roaming
Mimpi did not dive the wreck by boat, but rather drove us around in their car.
BUT they do offer boat dives, I went to Alam Anda by boat. Boat diving is an extra cost...but not much.
SO if you really wanted to dive the wreck by boat I'm pretty sure they would oblige.
As for Scuba...
I jumped onto their site...and I would not exactly say they are cheaper than the "fake resorts".
It was around USD750/person/night! Which is pretty big $$'s!!!
At that price give me the "fake" overwater villas any day of the week! ha ha
Tulamben is fine in Dec.
You may get a few days of slightly "bigger" waves which make shore entry ...lets say adventurous! ha ha
Flikr Album - Tulamben December
