I did Truk with just a bikini or tshirt , even on penetration dives like Nippo and Shinkoku Marus.Used pantyhose for leg protection and t shirt or long sleeved shirt for top - no problems whatsoever. I've never been to the GBR though so can't advise there.

We're making the final preps for our trip (yay!) , so while we were checking in, we noticed that Hawaiian air charges 100.00 PER ITEM - that includes, mask,fins,snorkel, reg, etc... So if we put them in checked luggage, it'll cost more than 800.00!!!! Yikes!!! Is it better to just rent...

I just found the site shorediving.com from another thread and it has oodles of info , and Ulua and Makena sound like really easy dives - we don't want jagged entries, beach entries suit us well. I just hope the fish life is ok - I've heard alot of fish are leaving via the aquarium trade. Hows...

We'll be there in August and were wondering if she's still guiding dives. We went with her way back in 2006 and she was so knowledgeable about the local reefs, but I haven't seen any mention of Octopus Reef lately.

hi everybody, I went to my lds and got a 3/8 to 7/16 adapter for the lp port and put my current spg/depth gauge on and it worked perfectly! Yay! The parts guy there first gave me a weird look like, why would I do that, but then I showed him the reg and he started telling me all these stories...
