E-M5, Nauticam Housing, Lenses and Ports

I have myself confused with the enormous options for micro 4/3 systems. Maybe it is the lack of experience. My setup looks as follows 8mm FE in 4.33" Port (with a possibility of a later 12 F2 purchase) 7-14 in 6" Nauticam port or a 9-18 in 4" port with the possibility of using a midrange zoom...

Nauticam NA-EM5 + Nauticam Arm and Tray double strobes buoyancy

Those Stix floats are Jumbos or Large sized? I assume these are stix jumbo floats. 190g lift / piece. So the whole rig is about 1000g taking into account that flashes are neutrally buoyant and that your rig is slightly negative. Am i right?

Thank You so much for the help! May I ask you what type of tray and arm system do you recommend, as ULCS system is way out of my budget (here in EU the whole assembly costs around 700Eur, (870USD)) Thanks again! ---------- Post Merged at 04:47 PM ---------- Previous Post was at 04:45 PM...

Nauticam NA-EM5 + Nauticam Arm and Tray double strobes buoyancy

Hi There, Great reviews there about the OM-D and the nauticam housing. A big thanks to Phil Rudin for thorough evaluation. I decided to take a leap and step up from my E-PL1 + 10 Bar setup. I am thinking about OM-D with Nauticam NA-EM5, Nauticam arms and trays, double Sea and Sea YSD1...

New 10Bar Housing for E-PL1 - interchangeable Ports!!

Last week we've returned from a safari around Sinai, Egypt. Seen some lovely wrecks, and bunch of fellow divers. Anyway I used my E-Pl1 and 10bar housing, and one YS110 strobe, 60% of pics were made with 9-18mm, @9mm. First I had some leakage right on the second dive (first dive was a...

New 10Bar Housing for E-PL1 - interchangeable Ports!!

Just thinking about flash X-sync speeds. So the E-PL1 has a limited sync speed of 1/160, is there any way to exceed this with UW flashes and fiber cable? On land I popped my nikon sb600 flash on the oly and had pics without black bands using 1/400 sync speeds. Just wondering if the in house...

    Jet Fin vs Rocket Fin

David, I do not know much about the history of naiades, but for our club we order the fins you mentioned from Debrecen. They mold them in their factory, and retail them for about 60USD. Very good fins indeed. Although we use them after some minor adjustments to have a better stiffness for...

    Jet Fin vs Rocket Fin

First of all I am fairly new to scuba, but I was a competitive finswimmer for some time, and now doing mostly freediving and some scuba. So I just had the JetFins after reading this thread. I just wanted to add my experiences, i tried them swimming 10x100 yards against long carbon fins used...

New 10Bar Housing for E-PL1 - interchangeable Ports!!

Just thinking, 10bar semi dome port and 14-42 zuiko has limited macro capabilities, i assume. So is it possible to attach a macro screw on lens to the 14-42 and then enclose it in the housing. I mean not using wet lenses but use an ordinary dry macro 58mm screw on lens on the 14-42. Is it...

I am a complete newbie, so just wanted to as is there any dedicated port on the 10bar e-pl1 housing to connect the flash (optical or nikonos type) or I have to attach the optical cable of my SS YS110 flash somehow to the flash window to the housing... I just ordered the housing it is not yet...
