Month-long Florida Coast and Keys Trip Preparation

In Ft Pierce Pepper Park (check out UDT/SEAL museum as well) and the wreck site of the Orca De Lima off Pepper...very shallow dive site maybe 15 feet or a nice snorkel. Just south of there is Bathtub beach in Jensen another fine site.

    Blue Heron Bridge in Winter?

Actually there are enough bridge trolls who would be more than happy to show you around the site that you shouldn't need a guide. Depending upon your gas consumption you should have 2 to 3 hours of dive time so plan your thermal protection accordingly. If I go the east I get about 2.5 hours...

    Basic Nitrox O2 Analyzer Choice

There really isn't too much to an analyzer. It basically boils down to the ease of using the unit and how hard is it to replace the sensor, battery and their replacement cost.

    Basic Nitrox O2 Analyzer Choice

Palm D is about as idiot proof as you can get and very rugged to boot.

The All Inclusive SCUBA Tattoo Thread

I just had the 14th piece of my leg sleeve done this evening....a flying gurnard from an image I took last month. It was a three hour sit and it was well worth it. It is on the back of my leg which can be a tender area to work on. I will be diving in the morning and I'll imagine it will "talk"...

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls

Today's water was colder and after 2 hours I was glad to be out of the water... viz was as Jim says between 10 and 20 feet temp at 80. During the 2nd third of the dive there were 5 eagle rays that continued circling round me but because of the viz it was impossible to get good images. There is...

    Blue Heron Bridge Trolls

The lack of skills displayed at the bridge Satuurday was appalling. The viz would have been very nice except for the flailers. I was at the shopping carts at the beginning of the dive and viz was ok until a group flailed in. Viz went to under 3 feet in 30 seconds. I know folks will tell me that...
