Juliet Sailing & Diving changing ownership

I'm booked on the Juliet for the USVI trip leaving 27th December having been on it previously (before the refit). John B was a great help in organising everything. I believe he is going off to do some sailing related stuff with underprivileged kids in California and would like to wish him well...

    Favourite dive sites on Bonaire

I'll be touching down at Flamingo airport in just over 24 hours for my annual pilgrimage to Bonaire (this'll be the 11th straight year!) last bits going into the bags and I started thinking about what might be my absolute favourite dive site on the island. after much thought and mind changing...

First time to Bonaire - shore dive questions

Some of the dive ops will do a collection service from the cruise dock, but you will need to arrange with them prior arrival, If you choose a good one and tell them that you have a couple of non-divers they will wiz you down South (Pink Beach would work, although don't read too much into the...

FIRST TRIP TO BONAIRE in December 2015 --- Suggestions Please. Thanks.

Lots of great info already given, here's a couple more. From a Dive Op perspective all previously mentioned will fit the bill, if you want another to add to your list you could consider Buddy Dives shop that runs at the front of Sun Rentals Apartments, easy to spot as it's the 1st( I think) Dive...

    Bonaire for a solo diver

For a sole diver I'd suggest Buddy Dive as you can usually find someone in a similar situation. As you only have OW certification you may find yourself fairly limited for dive buddies or to only boat dives though - hope that helps. Your other option is to put a shout out here on SB to see who's...

    Headed to Bonaire

You've got some really good suggestions in this thread, but after c15+ trips to Bon (and also ignoring the Manta seen at Cliff) I'd go with Tori's Reef, dive it late in the afternoon and there a good chance you'll get eagle rays feeding on the sand on the swimout, and Oil Slick leap, as dive...

    Bonaire Park Dives?

As a regular to Bonaire for over 10 years I'd agree with the previous comments, but would add that if the park is where you want to be, treat it as a day trip, pack food , plenty of water, as many tanks as you can , leave early and make a whole day of it,(don't forget the tyre inflator!!)...

Female dive instructors in Bonaire ?

Firstly can I just say good choice on Belmar I'm sure you will have a great time. Belmar is part of the Buddy Dive group on the island so the office at Belmar will organise, although Chrissy had a female instructor (Mariska) working for her a little while ago and she's also very good Cheers Andy

Attention travelers, assistance needed. Help me select a location!

I've dived in Bonaire every year for the last 11 years. If you follow the "windows down, don't take it in the truck if you dont want to lose it" rule you will have no problems at all. Every dive op on the island includes this as part of their orientation, but you still hear of people who left...
