Hi all, its Manny.
Just wanted to say it was nice to meet you all after the night dive on Aug 4th and hope to dive with you all again soon!
Max, I loved your fire poi performance. Ive been checking out poi vids all this week. Soon I will make my own practice poi out of tennis balls because...
i came down with a cold right before my week long trip in the bahamas
i was able to dive using Afrin 12-hour and Mucinex
the rebound from the Afrin sucked. your not supposed to use it for more than 3 days from what i understand.
of course results may vary, so if you do something like this...
Buddy roulette is bull*****
Bring your own or be prepared to dive solo.
Ive heard too many stories and have had dives ruined myself.
Its a good idea to talk to the captain before hand.
Anyone ever take water or specimens back from a dive and check them out under a microscope? I bet theres alot of cool stuff to see. Id be curious to see the differences between the life forms found outside a wreck and inside of it.
sorry, not trying to pick a fight with anyone.
his point is valid, having the light cord clipped off over the long hose could make for a messy air share. i just felt that "ending up with a dead buddy" seemed alittle strong.
again, my apologies.
i have a hard time seeing someone getting killed because their buddy clipped their light with the light cord going over the long hose. i would think there would be enough slack to get the second stage to your buddy.
anyone know what boats if any allow solo diving in Key Largo/Pennekamp?
is there a park rule prohibiting solo diving?
i was paired up with a couple that were hardly of help to each other let alone me. the lady was on her first dive after OW and couldnt get down without her hubby pulling her...
If one of your second stages is free-flowing you shut down that post, obviously.
but if you have a leak comming from a first stage or from a tank neck o-ring how do you go about identifying where the leak is comming from and shutting it down?
ive heard you can put your hands back there and...
if i can free-dive to 50' should i really be doing a CESA from 100' ?
i know padi teaches CESA for depths of 40' or less.
i would think there might be a risk of DCS especially after a good amount of on-gassing and then theres always the risk of AGE if you panic and dont let go of your breath...
i guess they dont make the gear like they used to!
i was actually at fault in the above mentioned incident.
i had re-attached the hp hose and only hand tightened it.
this happened 6 months later, so i imagine it was lose enough to unscrew enough to let the o-ring extrude. now i know better!
