Overweighting yourself by say 6-8 kg and then finding a nice clear patch of sand at 5m to take your fins off and practice some dance moves. Works wonders for the running man/moonwalk technique. Feel free to sing to yourself whilst doing so. The octopus and wrasse haven't joined in Disney chorus...

Lots of basking sharks around the Isle of Man in summer, usually reasonably happy to tolerate a snorkellor if youre quiet and still. I guarantee seeing a big one underwater when you dont expect it will ruin your air consumption figures! The blue shark trips off cornwall look ace.

Just like LeadTurn says, good to use it to focus on the dive. Once im kitted ( have you noticed how the hood of a car puts the scuba unit at just the right height for you ) I relax for a while and visualise my dive. Then grab fins and go!
