i just got a Citizen Promaster with analog depth meter... however, there was no manual... can anybody please help me with this or furnish me a copy of the manual? with this post, i'm attaching a pic of the watch i got in the net... though mine has a blue face with blue strap...

welcome back... thank God you're ok and be able to dive again... and one more thing, it only goes to show that pot can really kill...=-) drugs and diving just don't match...;)

i think Anilao, Philippines is still among, if not, the cheapest among those enumerated... food is great, boatmen and resort staff are very accommodating and the divers are really spoiled... if you need questions regarding reservations, resorts and stuff, you may PM me... and maybe i can...

your gripes, i think, are very valid... and i have mixed emotions regarding the implementation of the ordinance... while i wrote that i support the move, i can see that there are a lot of flaws... however for now, i think we can give it a try and if it is not effective, we can question the...

thanks for the reply, holly... i will tempt you some more to dive in the Philippines... =-) whale sharks are usually here during the months of march to may... however, sometimes they differ... a lot of marine scientists are still baffled with their "travelling" behavior and still can't...

i have posted a new thread regarding this... you may want to check it out under additional fees for anilao or something to that effect... i have also attached a Q&A about it... and about Balai, you're very right about that resort... "balai" in a local dialect here in the Philippines means...

why not do it in the Philippines? just a suggestion... :-)

bottom line is, most, if not all of the time the instructors matter more than the certification agencies... knowing the instructor, i think is the most important thing...

hey scooby and quik... i'm a frequent diver of anilao... balai is a nice resort... and the food is among the best in anilao... however, the road going there is not that good... lately, i go to dive solana... it is among a few resorts in anilao which has a beach front... the food is also...

i have just received this morning a Q & A sheet on the conservation fees to be imposed on divers of Mabini and Tingloy, Batangas, Philippines... this is via municipal resolution which was passed in October 2002 and approved by the provincial board only last March... Anilao, the "birthplace"...

i think it's more like Calvin & Hobbes Snorkel... hehe...
