Orange County company for dive light battery re-build?

I'm looking to rebuild/replace my dive light battery locally. I recall there was a company in Orange County that will build a new battery (from cells) using the old battery as a template. I don't seem to be able find a reference in the scubaboard archives. Anyone know what the company is?

    doubles diving after slap repair

Much thanks. I went hard on the PT after the surgery as well and managed to overdo it as well. After one or two setbacks, I've been following the prescribed PT. Recovery has been slow, but progress has been consistent. I have always been told that nothing is the same after you cut it (as in...

    doubles diving after slap repair

Looking to get in touch with GUE divers who have been through a SLAP repair. Looking for info that is scuba specific - ie. what limitations/concerns during and post recovery. My Ortho doc is very good, but does not treat many scuba divers. (Injury appears to have been caused by a bad fall...

Who sells nitrox in la and oc?

Dive and Surf do not currently fill nitrox. They pump air. (If you get a chance, check out the massive pump that they use from a WWII sub.) Eco Dive Center is expensive, but they will pump per cubic foot. If you don't need a full fill, they might be a good option.

    GUE Demo Day - SoCal - 10/17 - Free!

Just want to thank Bob for getting up at 5am to drive up from San Diego for the event and Karim/Steve for hauling tanks, gear, and setting up the event. I had such a terrific time and met so many interesting people. While it has been over five years since I took fundies, I still consider it to...

    Preferred Drysuit Config

I notice that the original post started with someone from Florida where drysuits are more likely to be seen in cave country. Part of the question revolves around cost as a good drysuit is a good chunk of money. I think the process is akin to looking at options when you are buying a car. "Do I...

Which tanks to bring to LA?

Hey Lynne, I just realized that you did figure out that it was me. It sounds like you're arguing that I should bring my trusted pair of HP130's and break them apart. I prefer a set of doubles when we're talking cold and deep, but I'm not too happy with surf and doubles either. It sounds...

Which tanks to bring to LA?

I am moving from Chicago to Los Angeles in a few weeks. I have two sets of doubles - HP100's and HP130's. Because of limited space, I am planning to take only one set of the doubles and eventually ship the other several months later. Which of the two am I going to be the most happy with? Do...

    Bottom Timer

The BT looks good. About time someone realized that large numbers on a display are better. User replaceable batteries almost seal the deal. For those who prefer metric, does the BT have the ability to switch display depth to metric instead of feet? Doesn't look like the website indicates...

    monterey, ca visit

I'm going to be in Monterey, CA on Sat/Sunday. It's part of a larger trip with a non-diver, so I wasn't planning to dive. But, it seems to be a shame to go to Monterey and not get into the water. Are there options to take a short shore dive? Thanks

What is scuba diving's orange shovel?

tank lights for night diving and yes, I got snookered into buying retractors. Lucky for me, I already had neon yellow knee pads from rollerblading, so I didn't need to buy those.
