lol yeah he kicked like that everywhere. These dudes were managing a bunch of containers with crazy lids and nabbing fish left and right even deeper. It was quite impressive. I never put a video together of it because I don't want to encourage anyone to do try something crazy as this. I do have...
I like the power of suggestion theory. The vast majority of divers are tense and on the verge of a panic attack even when they are acting super cool on the boat or talking a good game at the bar, IME. Add some narc stories and a bit of an unfamiliar action down deep and their mind might just go...
I have the lady on video!! It is hilarious. It is mixed in somewhere with 14 days of 3 tank a day dives and I am having trouble finding it at the moment since it was a while ago and I guess I actually don't remember all of my dives in the detail I thought I did ;)
Amazingly her iPhone...
I agree with this for the most part. I accept that there must be some degree of impairment at significant depth even though I have never noticed it personally. I see nitrogen while deep as any other mind altering substance. Everyone will have a different experience with it and thankfully I am...
If you can't remember where you parked your car I wouldn't expect you to remember your dives, tbh, or what happened on them. I was throwing it out there for people that do remember stuff longer than an hour and may have seen similar behavior underwater.
I stopped a fellow from continuing to follow imaginary fish down at 172ft in Kosrae. In his defense, it was so clear I could actually see the captain looking over the side of the boat down at us. Dude was pretty combative at depth and I almost let him go find Poseidon. Topside he very freaked...
So you have never seen someone trying to take off their mask or pull out their regulator after chasing imaginary fish around for five minutes I take it... Weird behavior underwater comes in many forms and usually involves anything but swimming along looking at all the pretty stuff.
I do...
I have often wondered this myself. I have been nearly twice the recreational limits many times in the past and have never once felt what people traditionally describe as being narked. I am always hyper focused on the task at hand and would never be down that deep just to have a look around...
Some people are completely unaffected by it and others act like they ate a quaalude at 90ft. Personally I've been far beyond recreational limits on normal air and have never once felt narked.
OTOH, I have seen many people get real weird down there and not be able to recall much of the dive...
Unbelievably these people have just been captured again, this time by America's Most Wanted.
Dive-boat fugitives caught on TV - Divernet
"A British couple who became fugitives 10 years ago following the death of a scuba diver on their Florida charter-boat have been captured by police in Spain...
So I literally just got done diving Peleliu Cut today and pretty much instantly Googled "scuba deaths in Palau" after experiencing it...this thread was the first result. I am here to report not much has changed, except there is coral up there now! Nice coral both hard and soft. I suppose it has...
Komodo is my new favorite dive destination in the world. I've been pretty much everywhere and Komodo blew me away. Even beats Raja and PNG, IMHO!
Camera is an old HFM30 with stock Canon housing.
Awesome picture. I recently spent five rain free days at Walindi Resort over Christmas but was overruled by fellow divers three times over visiting this wreck with my HD video camera... :( I am thankful you have allowed me to see what I missed and very sad that I did not get to film it.
Talk about amazing diving! PNG is it!

You are 1/2 way there already!
It is funny that I was just thinking that it would be pretty easy to build one when I hit this auction accidentally..!
Hey, I have a video for you all.

So these local divers were collecting fish at around 130ft. Each of them did three 3300psi AL80's there. They changed them out by shooting to the surface and having the boatman hand them another BC in the water. They did a fourth at 30ft for about 2...
Yeah, usually it is the US tax payer.
The same can be said for anyone that dies after saying "Hey guys watch this!!"
It happens every day.
