Selling the very popular Nexus CL-100 Close-up Diopter, also known as "Woody's Diopter." This model fits Ikelite and Nexus flat ports, and adds approximately 25% refractive magnification and decreases camera-to-subject distance for macro work. In good condition - a few light scratches on the...

FS: Inon UWL-100 Type 2 Wide Angle Wet-Mount (67mm thread) Lens

This Inon UWL-100 (type-2) lens has been sitting around in a box ever since I moved away from a point-and-shoot camera a few years back. The glass is in mint condition, and the lens screws in to 67mm threads to provided as much as 100deg view and allows extremely close focusing distances. Comes...

Asking about Canon DSLR macro lens

In response to David's question, it's really a personal choice, although (short answer) I would suggest the 100mm macro for the increased working distance (generally, even though at 1:1 it becomes closer to the working distance of the 60mm than it does at any other time, as a result of the lens'...

Asking about Canon DSLR macro lens

Both of those statements are wrong. The equivalent focal length will be 60*1.6=96mm. The EF-S designation does not remove the crop factor. And I can assure you, there are plenty of reasons for choosing an EF-S lens... ~Matt Segal

    Which goes on the outside?

I recently bought these two suits, and was wondering - which one is supposed to be worn underneath and which on the outside? Does vest w/ hood go on the inside, or does the main suit? I can think of pros and cons for each... Thanks in advance... ~Matt Segal

If you could dive anywhere next (early) summer...where?

Was thinking about Lembeh Straits, but parents don't think that's such a good idea given the current condition of general unrest in Indonesia...so Indonesia and Philippines are out (no big deal, maybe another time)... So, if you could go anywhere in the world...where would you go for a week...

    Can exposure correction increase noise?

That's not really *exposure* correction... You can only achieve a semblance of exposure correction using (as onbelaydave mention) a RAW converter of a sort. What these converters do when you adjust exposure up or down is effectively raise or lower the "processing" ISO to gain a brighter or...

Will my Suunto Mosquito limit me in PNG?

Multilevel dive with a max of ~74ft for about a minute or two, then went back up to ~50-60 for about 25min. At 26min (!!!!!), my Suunto flashed a deco stop indicator (ceiling) onto the screen, and began adding time to my supposed time over non-deco. I went a few minutes into this, simply because...

Will my Suunto Mosquito limit me in PNG?

I encourage you (if you haven't already) to read "Cold Comfort" by John Francis in the January/February 2004 issue of Rodale's...(link - http://www.scubadiving.com/article/0,7424,7-0-0-673,00.html ) Just an excerpt: "...If you're on a multiday trip and aren't careful to conserve your body...

    Suit Suggestion for PNG?

Before you ask me if I'm out of my mind :) , let me explain... In Maui (13 dives over 4 days) with 77-79deg F water, I wore a 3mm farmer john (mine) under a 3mm fullsuit (rented) - extreme comfort, no chill, no overheating, dives easily extending over 1hr length... SoCal 54deg water...ok...

Will my Suunto Mosquito limit me in PNG?

Never been a problem on my side... Possibly looking to pick up a Cochran Commander...for all you crazies out there, I can make it more conservative than my Suunto if need be, but I'd most likely be running it a little less... But then there's the issue - do I want to get that, or an...
