    Drysuit Buoyancy

Agreed about the task loading opinion. Remember that all certification groups have the liability gremlin hanging out there. Still, I add air to avoid squeeze and to stay comfy. However you avoid trim, whatever issues, great. Just dont let them be a weak link to possible safety, ok. So...

    How safe is Cozumel?

I am down here now. The second time my sons have been here (19 & 16). I feel 100% comfortable allowing them to roam the island freely. This is a very safe and friendly island.

    SP A700 vs APEKS XTX200

I absolutely love my XTX 200. Smooth flawless performance at any depth. Truly a joy to dive.

    Drysuit Buoyancy

I agree with you when it comes to PADI's approach. I, like many others, only add enough air to my dry suit to be comfortable from the squeeze. My BC is my primary buoyancy compensator. The rest was just practice. So substitute for tank time.

Anyone Interested in Lionfish hunting up North after the regularly scheduled dives?

I'm in. Last time there I did a dive north of the pier. Most of the fish were below 90' however there are plenty of places for them to hang out in more shallow waters.

How serious a screw-up was this?

It is ALWAYS the responsibility of the diver to personally verify that their equipment is set up and ready to go when they go into the water. I would never ever expect a dive boat to turn on my air nor would I trust that to ever happen. Always always do a pre-dive buddy check. It only takes a...

    Dive Operations in Cozumel

I have dove with both Dive Paradise as well as Blue Xt Sea Diving. I prefer Blue XT Sea. The boats are fast and comfy, the dive masters are outstanding, and the operation pays attention to the little things. I found diving with them to be more relaxing and enjoyable overall. Truly, Kevin

Really WANTS to learn, but uncomfortable underwater

Well you have to dig that. Once he has his open water cert encourage him to go for his advanced. It will make him a more confidant and relaxed diver. Kevin

    Atomic mask sealing difference?

Just bought the frame less a couple weeks back. High cheek bones are my problem. 8 dives during a rescue class and not a problem one. I LOVED the wider field of vision as well. Fantastic product. Kevin
