Crescent Beach/Honokohau Harbor Shore Dive help

We did 4 shore dives and they were all great and easy. Used my compass and never had any navigation issues, even at the Harbor. Couldn't find any Tigers sadly but the dive was still awesome. Big accomplishment for me though in regards to navigation. LOL but I feel much better about my skills as...

Crescent Beach/Honokohau Harbor Shore Dive help

Thank you. We decided to just stick to boat dives this vacation. I'm just not confident enough in my navigation skills and I'd be leading my 16 year old son. I'll just let the professionals lead us both lol.

Crescent Beach/Honokohau Harbor Shore Dive help

I have lots of dives and experience diving from boats with a guide (over 500 dives). Unfortunately I have very little experience doing any type of shore diving. I've heard such good things about Crescent Beach, especially getting the chance to see a Tiger shark. I've read it's a long walk to the...

    Cayos Cochinos

Roatan to Cayos you would have to find your own way. We sailed to Cayos from Roatan and spent 3 days on sailboat there. The dive boat was very nice when we were there. No A/C. We didn't stay at resort but did tour rooms. They were simple but very nice.

Roatan; locations with less rough water

I have never seen any rough water in Roatan except for the southern side. But I only dove that area once on the shark dive so maybe thats not a normal condition. The western side is usually very calm, and I've never seen the north rough either but I assume it can get rough if a storm runs through.

Will be at Infinity Bay March 31st, and...

I've never seen or felt any jellies around IB but I've only been there 3 times. (Jan, June, and June). I felt a few of those tiny ones up by AKR, on a dive but that was once and was minimal.

West Bay Roatan dive ops near/at Infinity

@cdemith: Infinity Divers is kinda hidden in the confines of their property. Infinity has 2 big dive boats which always load from the dock. I have never seen them not dive a day when I was staying there. I guess its possible but maybe their times didnt mesh with yours. They usually run 3 tanks...

West Bay Roatan dive ops near/at Infinity

I have dove with both Bananarama and Infinity Divers and liked both but I would give the nod to Infinity. Not sure if this helps or not. Really enjoyed their service. No idea on shore diving.

First time diving in Grand Cayman!!

I also would advise reserving a day with Ocean Frontiers.

First time diving in Grand Cayman!!

I would only dive ER and DG in the silverside season and make sure there are no cruise ships in town. I would skip the Kittiwake for now. But what I would do is get to the best part of Cayman diving and thats the wall diving. Don't worry about the 60 feet, 60,70,80 feet, they are all the same...

Grand Cayman- split time sunshine suites and cobalt ?

I would split time between SMB and Compass Point and dive with Ocean Frontiers as much as possible out on the East End. That way you get the East End diving but also get the SMB for everyone else.

    Roatan West Bay resort choices

We've stayed at Infinity Bay and Bananarama(Island Pearl) and while we loved both, we prefer IB due to the pool as we have a little boy. We never ever get a meal plan cause we love to eat somewhere different all the time and so many choices in Roatan. Also we only stay at West Bay due to the...

Dive ops that go to Bat Islands and what beach to stay at

Looking to dive the Bat Islands but want to stay at a beautiful beach. Just not sure where. Any ideas on locations. I've read that Playas del Coco is not the nicest beach. Any ideas? Alot of the ops seem fine so Im not as worried about that as where to stay.
