Saba Deep is not operating since a few years. For your cattle boat concerns- Sea Saba has 40ft boats with a max of 10 divers. If you were to go with the Explorer (I know you are not, just as an info), you are very limited in divesites-only certain moorings will hold the liveaboard.

Well, the dive gear on the caribbean islands is bought in the US and than shipped to the islands. And the shipping is not exactly cheap, so of course it is more expensive than in the US.

Like others have already written, it is not dangerous. Winair has a 0 % accident rate at the Saba Airport. Therefore it should probably be rated one of the safest airports. It is just very spectecular and short.

Probably would tell you to go with Deep Blue. Pro Dive can be covenient if you stay at the resort, but likely to be on crowded boats, strict schedule and restricted time.
