Interesting experiment. I think the biggest problem is reduced strobe output, which is quite neccesary for wide angle to bring back colors. I've seen these filters for video lights as well.

I used the e-m1ii for video last year, it's quite a challenge but results can be good. Personally I shot most on c4k 24p, sharpness is much better compared to 60p. However it's really important to keep the camera steady, shake ruins shots. There's a special shutter speed setting for 24p, 1/48...

I only have 100 minutes for a transfer in Jakarta, according to Garuda I only need 90. Tight but I won't be starting with a liveaboard.

Yes I know, the price is ridiculous though. $6500 for a single person for 10 days, even without transfer. For that price I can choose a very luxury liveaboard. No thank you.

Very nice! Does anyone have experience with the Samambaia liveaboard? It seems to have great value for money, but there are barely any reviews.

Do you have some sample pictures of the 8-18? I'm not expecting quality to be similar the 8mm FE, but I'm interested in getting it underwater along with the 12-40 pro, might work out for video too (only if I can get white balance to work)

Thanks all for the help! Just one final question about visibility - i've seen several people disappointing with it in trip reports. Would visibility be better in december/January compared to end of oktober/november? I'm talking about the Misool/Raja Ampat area.

Blue Manta seems to be almost sold out, and the itinerary includes Ambon, I only want to do Raja Ampat/Misool. Sounds good! It looks a bit cramped and it's the most expensive one of the three MV boats, but still quite affordable compared to the other liveaboards. I guess you're talking about...
