Called HOG last week to check on this - they are "expecting" shipment this week and "should" have them by next week. However, when I spoke to the HOG booth at Beneath the Sea, they "expected" them before May 1.
I hope they do arrive next week!!
I understand; but, the expectation is that divers will be taking this earlier in their diving experience (often very soon after the initial OW). I'm sure that the course is appropriate for the other divers in the class. Possibly, you just needed an instructor that is more exciting and dynamic...
You need to talk to your ortho doctor about this. Depending upon the hardware (syndesmotic screw? plate? etc) and degree of healing, your doctor may prescribe a brace or none. The A60 provides minimal support; you may need the Air-Sport or even the Air-Stirrup, or even a Cam-walker. Talk to...
1. You go to pick up your nitrox tank at the dive shop and it is labeled 35.2% O2. You should plan to dive with this nitrox mixture to a maximum depth of:
a. 99 feet
b. 95 feet
c. 90 feet
d. I don't know the answer
Absolutely a "trick" question, designed to point...
I suspect this may be because of a couple of dive accidents recently (one involving a cruise ship) and another actually in Cabo. You can read about these occurances here:

There are a variety of things a good instructor should be covering during a nitrox course. In particular, you should be comfortable with what to do in case things don't go exactly as you had planned. You can choose to dive in whatever manner you want - I just would choose not to buddy with you...
Couple of questions: haven't received my HOGs yet; waiting for the new L/R reversible second stages. Saw them at Beneath the Sea and placed an order. Didn't realize they didn't come with a simple instruction manual or I would have asked these basic questions.
1) the + and - on the breathing...
Follow the directions in the manual making sure you are away from anything metal. I find the seat on a wooden picnic table works well; the straight edge assists you in making sure you are accurate lining it up straight when you flip it around. Then, follow the directions in the manual (or it...
Going to be doing doubles this spring but having trouble deciding whether to approach it BM or Side. Seems to be mostly a personal preference or comfort decision, but thought I'd ask if there is a DIR recommendation on this.
It seems that the ability to use either or both tanks when one...
Thanks for the info. The LogBook seems to be downloading something ... the download bar moves across and it says "Download Completed". However, I can't figure out what it downloaded or where it put it!!
Looking in the C:\ProgramData\AtomicsAquatics\Cobalt-Logbook\hexfiles folder you detailed...
Happens on my notebook running XP but not on the desktop running XP or the one running Win7/64. I'd guess it's probably some issue with the display resolution setting. Anyway, the whole box with the "I Agree" button is actually there - you just can't see it.
Fortunately, the popup box...
Basically, somethings not delivering the air. No way without examining equipment to determine whether the 1st or 2nd stage had failed; result in either case could be no air. Very rare for the newer regs to fail and not deliver air - the design usually results in a free flow state if failure...
I'd suggest you look at the other computer manufacturers on ScubaBoard ... most have several thousand messages. Guess they REALLY weren't ready for release ... ;-)
Love the Dive Log 5.0 ... has pretty much all the options, info, data, etc., you might want to include in your log.
Only thing that is a bit confusing is that Dive Log and the software that comes with the Cobalt use two different USB drivers. There is a simple little program that will switch...
The gas mixture and tank size stay the same as your last dive. You can very simply change either one. One of the very best features of the Cobalt is the simplicity of the menu system and the ease of making any changes in settings. Click on Settings menu, then Gas/Tank Settings ... Then you...
I've had a couple times, only at the Cessna, where the electronic compass on my dive computer seems totally screwed up ... points me in obviously the wrong direction. Switched to my backup magnetic disk compass, and everything seemed fine. I'd guess there might be a high iron content in the...
Just finished installing the Firmware update which according to the website and the filename is 1.11_4. Everything seemed to go fine, the Cobalt came back up with the Time/Date screen as expected. However, the System Information screen shows the DiveOS as 1.11/1. Does this mean the new...
