    i300 verses i300C

Looks like $11.99 for paid version. But looks like the free does a lot. The cable version or bluetooth version with app don't appear to do much. They allow you to download to that app as a log book or configure settings (which you can do on the device itself just as easy). But the thing that...

    i300 verses i300C

Just got word - they did appreciate the honesty and are letting me keep them. Sweet! I have been a fan of theirs for a while and their decision would not have changed that. But this is great of them. I would have been honest even if I knew they would make me return them. But a great blessing...

    i300 verses i300C

Nice! Maybe my honesty will payoff too. The Geo 2 was high on my list. And had I only had the $299 version of the i300 to look at, I would have moved to the better size of the Geo 2.

    i300 verses i300C

Well, LeisurePro sent me three i300Cs instead. I'll give them an awesome review if they let me keep them. :) They want picture proof before they will tell me what my options are - which I would assume would be to exchange at their expense, keep at their expense, or pay the extra to keep them...

    i300 verses i300C

I pulled the trigger. After all your help and many online reports and reviews, three of us got one. I will let you know how it goes in the future I hope. Much thanks! (I could only find two websites anywhere that still had it - and same price at each.)

    i300 verses i300C

Good points. One more question - anyone have a place they frequent online any better than LeisurePro to check price for the i300 specifically? I like dealing with them and looks like they may have the best price (although I have beaten them on price on other things before). Just want to check...

    i300 verses i300C

Thanks. How have you liked it? I think I am getting one for my wife and me. Been diving for years and years without one, but always wanted one. And we finally did our enriched air class.

    i300 verses i300C

Thanks for all the help everyone. Can I re-ask an above question - if I don't care about downloading dives to a PC log, do I care about the cable for now? Again, I mainly ask about software updates? Is this needed or an option?

    i300 verses i300C

Understood. But i300 without cable is $174. And I would never need 3-gas. So was trying to save - especially when I need to get two.

    i300 verses i300C

Wow! $85 dollars!? Shame on Aqua Lung for that one. I guess I can do without downloading logs, but hate to miss any updates if I get one. (Not sure if it would be up-to-date right out of the box.) The i300s are a good price right now and just want a good basic one.

    i300 verses i300C

Thank you much. That is what I am seeing also. Do you (or anyone know) if the cable for the i300 is a standard PC USB cable or is it proprietary? Also, I assume the firmware is still upgradable on the i300?

    i300 verses i300C

Tried to search here and google... Could someone tell me the differences between the i300 and the i300C Aqua Lung computers? Is it only bluetooth? Thanks!

    Not servicing my gear EVER!

I still use my and my wife's US Diver regs that we bought when she was certified in 1989. We don't make hundreds of dives a year and they did sit in storage for 10 years while the kids were little. But they worked great when we got them back out. They were just serviced - the only time they have...

Diving after eating, what to eat between the dives

We have a tradition: fresh or dehydrated pineapple and animal crackers. Nothing greasy (upset stomach or seasick) or with milk (mucus production). And plenty of water. We eat big after all the dives. :)

Does Loss of weight reduce buoyancy ??

You are lighter, which makes you more bouyant. You should be smaller which would make you displace less water and be more negative. You are also denser, especially if you put on any additional lean tissue, so you would be more negative. Body fat, essentially oil, floats. Muscle, at about 75%...

Zeagle's Express Tech: The first and last BC most will ever need (or want)

Thanks all. About to pull the trigger on this one. Couple more questions: 1. Should I want (or need) to upgrade to a metal backplate in the future, is the standard 24lb wing adequate for warm diving up to a 3mm suit? 2. The first question assumes that the other parts are not only...

    The Diver's Devotional

Hello all, Please check out The Diver's Devotional. We are very pleased with the outcome and were honored to be able to speak as a result of the book's completion at the Reef Ministries Second Annual Prayer Breakfast during the 2011 DEMA Show. It was a joy to write and educational to...

Zeagle's Express Tech: The first and last BC most will ever need (or want)

Thanks for the info! Still not sure what the differences in the three Zeagle weight systems are. :) I don't have these at my LDS. What is the consensus on floating with the ET? That is my wife's biggest concern - fighting any tendency to be pushed face down on the surface. Are folks able to...

Zeagle's Express Tech: The first and last BC most will ever need (or want)

Wanting to buy two for me and my wife. Couple of questions for you nice folks. I read the entire thread. 1. Why do some greatly prefer the donut over the horseshoe? I don't follow the difference and seems the cylinder wouldn't rest as ergonomically on top of the base of a donut. 2. What are...

    Best Travel BCD?

See - I can use the search feature. :) Anyone have experience and opinions now on the Zuma? My wife and I are going to invest in all new gear after 20 years and we are going all travel friendly. We are diving more now that the kids are bigger and I want to use my gear instead of renting...
