Understood. But i300 without cable is $174. And I would never need 3-gas. So was trying to save - especially when I need to get two.

Wow! $85 dollars!? Shame on Aqua Lung for that one. I guess I can do without downloading logs, but hate to miss any updates if I get one. (Not sure if it would be up-to-date right out of the box.) The i300s are a good price right now and just want a good basic one.

Thank you much. That is what I am seeing also. Do you (or anyone know) if the cable for the i300 is a standard PC USB cable or is it proprietary? Also, I assume the firmware is still upgradable on the i300?

I still use my and my wife's US Diver regs that we bought when she was certified in 1989. We don't make hundreds of dives a year and they did sit in storage for 10 years while the kids were little. We have a tradition: fresh or dehydrated pineapple and animal crackers. Nothing greasy (upset stomach or seasick) or with milk (mucus production). And plenty of water. We eat big after all the dives. :)

You are lighter, which makes you more bouyant. You should be smaller which would make you displace less water and be more negative. You are also denser, especially if you put on any additional lean tissue, so you would be more negative. Body fat, essentially oil, floats. Muscle, at about 75%...
