I sometimes see the Beach Hopper II out on weekdays. It looks like they have a Friday charter open on their schedule. You can call the Beach Hopper II and see if they can get a charter going for Monday... The sanctuary does not normally go out on weekdays, but they have two spots open for...

I prefer boat diving over shore diving so most of my experience is from boat diving in the Monterey Bay and Carmel Bay. As Dan mentioned, from a boat you can access so many better sites than Point Lobos can give you from shore. Butterfly House is a great dive, Lobos Rocks is also a great site...
