I would echo the suggestion of Bonaire, easy diving with lots of life. Many quality dive operators there. Sunset house on Grand Cayman would be another recommendation. Nice house reef, great staff and solid boats.

The Dive Academy in Oakville offers side mount training through TDI. The shop is an SSI store of rec and TDI for tech. Call Dean you won't be disappointed. Next side mount course is July 19 and 20 includes open water.

Good summary drrich. I have been on the Turk and Caicos explorer and highly recommend this live aboard. I am partial to turks for vacations and diving but if you are looking for shore diving Bonaire or the Caymans may be a better choice.
